Bang Tao Bali Villa

After starting out our holiday in a run down over-priced condo, we managed to switch to this beautiful development. Ray and his staff were so accommodating. It is conveniently located near the new Villa Market and the Black Cat restaurant, on the edge of the Laguna complex at Bangtao Beach. We need a fully functioning kitchen for family food intolerances, and the villa provided everything we needed including a dish washer. A clothes washer and dryer also came with the villa. We will definitely be booking with Ray for our next holiday this summer. Thanks to Nan and the whole team for their hospitality.

The premises is located in Cherngtalay and managed by several management companies. The more popular one among the locals is 'The Residence' under the management of Richmond. Bangtao Private Villas are under another owner and managed by AYS (At Your Service). Despite the hardware of all villas are the same, the former provides luxurious hotel service (esp.round-the-clock catering service) while the latter is a less expensive version serviced villa. We stayed in a 2-bedroom pool villa for 5 days with free pick up service from the airport. The villa was equipped with modern facilities such as washer-cum-dryer, wi-fi, satellite TV with almost 100 channels and DVD. The pool was a salty water one - depth ranged from around 100 - 180 cm and hence suitable for all ages. There was a BBQ area at the rooftop. Daily maid and gardening services were available at a time selected by the client. A welcome pack was provided to clients with a few teabags, 3 in 1 coffee and some bottled water in the refrigerator. You need to pay for further replenishment. Just like all other pool villas, a cell phone was provided to the client with BHT200 deposit inside, good enough for a few days' stay. A folder with delivery menus from nearby restaurants and in-villa massage information (BHT600 for one hour) was available in the sitting room. This was particularly important for tourists who did not intend to cook themselves. The night market (twice a week), Tesco Lotus, McDonald and Pizza Company were a few hundred metres away and provided good outlets for us to replenish groceries or acquire kids' meals. The manager, Susie, spoke fluent English and responded to our phone calls quickly. The major problem we encountered during our visit was the TV. There was only one TV in the sitting room. The signals were very weak and the TV failed to function properly for almost 2 days. Everytime we called Susie she sent in the technician but only when the fourth one came with a router like equipment then we could at least watched half of the channels. The DVD also failed to function properly at times. Wi-fi speed was also slow. Without the TV, we tried to keep the kids busy by baking muffins and searching for lizards etc at night. We even offered Susie with tea and muffins when she came to inspect the TV in the afternoon! On the whole we are happy with our vacation at Bangtao Private Villa, especially the home away from home feel!

Had an amazing stay at Bangtao villas. I was looking for a place with a private pool. The rooms are spacious, well kept and peaceful. The room was beautifully decorated before our arrival and the support staff was very courteous. She walked us through the room and explained everything in great deal. Great place for people looking for some peace and quite. Closest beach is Bangtao which is a 15 mins walk. If you plan to stay here, hire the car and drive on the west coast of Phuket with one beach after the other. Markets and some nice restaurants are 10 mins away. Would def recommend this place.
