Club Coconut Resort

It’s was a nice holiday place There was a mix up in the room, it looked Luxurious different on the website And when we got the it was a cheap motel room The we heavily complained And refusing to accept the room because the website was so different They eventually gave the room we paid for because I had pictures on my phone They couldn’t argue So they gave us the proper room 😊 And we ended up enjoying our holiday

Nice and clean hotel. Very friendly and helpful staffing and they spoke pretty good english compared to other places we stayed. A lot of restaurants in the area, shops etc. The pool is smal but we were the only ones using it during day time. After the sunset some asian guest starter using it. Hotel costed around 140 bath pr. Night out of season and we had two lovely days there. A lot of value for money.

The Coconut is a hidden gem in Patong, quietly located on the back streets of the town center. The room I stayed in for 3 weeks was large, had excellent air conditioning and was directly beside the pool. The staff kept the room clean and tidy every day and it was a pleasure to retire there after a long day in the sun or taking in the local sights and sounds. Every taxi driver and tuk tuk operator knows Nanai Road, so to and from the party sois and Bhangla Road late night is not a problem. Sure some may not know where The Coconut is exactly but if you use Ting Tong Bar as the landmark, you'll be back before you know it. The Coconut is the budget conscious holiday maker, you get everything but the beach view, but for me that's fine as I like being places where you can see the real bustle behind the Patong hustle. Daily coffee on Nanai Road give you the perspective of someone actually living there. Non stop buzzing of scooters and people getting on with daily life, tourists wandering, bars and restaurants setting up for trade are all things that you will see on Nanai Road before slipping into the pool at The Coconut to take the edge off the heat. For around 1,000 baht I was situated within 20 meters of the pool, received a hearty breakfast with coffee every morning and access to a robust WiFi network for guests. Skype and video playback was not a problem and there is no limit to devices on the network. The outdoor kitchen/eating area is more akin to a hostel situation and the large screen television has the full pay-tv package so you can watch pretty much anything you desire sporting wise, with the option of taking a quick dip at halftime and possibly watching the rest from the pool...not a bad deal. The beauty of The Coconut is it's simplicity, the people there will look after you as best they can, if you need more then book elsewhere. However it's comfortable enough for longer stays, it's quiet to the point that you feel like you could be somewhere much further away and it's affordable leaving you with more options to spend on day trips, meals or getting out to party. It might be back street Patong, but that's always where you'll find the real action in a resort town anyway...I hope you enjoy a nice long relaxing stay like I did, I am sure it will not be long until I am back.
