Candy House

we stayed here for 3 nights. the room we stayed in was small but comfortable. hot water, fridge, TV, air-con all worked. They will arrange a taxi service from the airport for 500 baht if you email in advance. If you dont book through Bookings.com you will get a room for 600p/n rather than 700. 15 minute walk to beach and nightlife. cheap restaurant 10 metres away selling very cheap street food(pad thai 50 baht). would recomend staying here.

I stayed at this guesthouse two weeks in April 2012. It is located at the back of Patong about three minutes drive from the beach. New, clean and comfortable rooms with shower, hot water and air conditioning. The room was cleaned every day. It is a quiet, family-run guesthouse run by a very pleasant owner. He is very helpful and you can get from him many tips and advices. Guesthouse is located far away from the beach, so if you plan to stay there and get around you should seriously consider to rent a scooter. I stayed in small room with window. A small room was actually very small - the conditioner is hanging directly over the bed and blowing on you, so after few days you have a good chance to get sick. Except of a bed, TV, wardrobe and a refrigerator there is no more place to put anything in the room. So when you book choose at least medium-sized room with window. No problem to bring guests to the room, but note that rooms have no safe. Small tip: if you plan to rent a room for a long time (week or more) especially in low season try to contact the owner by email and most likely he will make you discount for a long term.

We stayed in Candy house. Prizes where very good for the room with balcony, in the room a tv, fridge and airco. Owner is a great man, very helpfull and keeps the place really clean. He also rent scooters for a very cheap prize, and the scooters are like new. We paid 150 bath for a day rental. Small tip, if you go out of the street towards the beach you will find about 3 minute walk on your right side a litte restaurant called @Patong where they serve very good food for low prizes, halve of what you would pay if you are near the beach where they are all after your money.
