Shocking arrived to a dirty ant infested room floors dirty pubes on bathroom floor. Then after spending an hour cleaning I had to insure door slamming yelling and rude guests opp till 2am then it got wose no one controls the place after mid night it's a free for all. Not safe not clean not quiet great for gruby drunk stoner bogans

We have been to Patong 5 times. We have stayed in several 5* hotels but for this trip we booked very last minute and availability was limited. After searching we found a nice looking hotel “Hiran”. Looking at the cost, which was 75% cheaper than what we normally pay, i did not expect too much. However i was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were equally as good as some of the far more expensive hotels we were used to. Spotlessly clean, in excellent condition and everything worked all if the time. The hotel manager and Staff were the best i have ever encountered in Patong . Extremely helpful, always cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. Location is great as its a 5 min walk to the beach, close to many bars and restaurants and due to the location up a small road, it is peaceful and quite at night. We stayed here, and it was all very new and clean well equipped rooms with 4 of us staying in the same room. It is a fair distance from the centre, it was about 15-20 min walk but we didn't want to be in the centre. My only issue is that because it was under new management and because everything was so new, not everything worked, and the staff were not easy to get to as you had to make a 3 min dash to the front desk of Patong Palace Hotel. This proved difficult when the water stopped working and the staff seemed to lack the urgency to resolve this quickly. Normally I would have waited but when you have a bus-ferry transfer to catch, showering in the swimming pool shower just doesn't cut it. I had to request they offer me another room to shower in which was a 5 min walk away. I didn't use the swimming pool at Patong Palace Hotel, Hiran doesn't have its own but shares it, but I'm sure if they had their way I would have. Lol
