🛑 HOTEL BAYA PATONG: UNACCEPTABLE, UNSAFE AND CONTEMPTFUL 🛑 Absolute disaster, unsanitary, 4 days without hot water and total disregard for a disabled client. RUN AWAY! My stay at the Baya Hotel in Patong was a real humiliation and a total disaster. I have rarely seen such a level of incompetence and disrespect in the hospitality sector. 1. 🤢 Abuse of the Chamber: Smell of Sewage and Dirt From the moment of arrival, the first room was a disaster: a smell of sewage and death absolutely nauseous and unbreathable reigned there. The double bed ordered was absent, replaced by a single mattress visibly dirty and incredibly uncomfortable. The state of unsanitary conditions was obvious. After a change of room, the problems continued. 2. 🧊 4Days Without Hot Water: The Summit of Contempt During the first 4 days of my stay it was impossible to have hot water. This is a basic service that this hotel is unable to provide. The most shocking thing was the reaction of the staff. To my complaint, the receptionist named Aisha had a scandalous and humiliating response: "Grandma, run the water for half an hour. Wait for the hot water." 3. ♿ Disregard for a Customer with a Disability I have a disability (with disability cards). To receive an unhealthy room and to be confronted with such indifference — and even insulting remarks like Aisha’s — is scandalous and particularly hurtful. The Baya Patong Hotel has shown no consideration or respect for the difficulties involved. The absence of hot water for 4 days is even more difficult to bear in my case. After the third room change, the hotel placed me on the first floor, above the reception. It was the beginning of a new nightmare: every night, I suffered intolerable noise from the reception and the corridors: wailing, screaming, laughing, party noises obviously involving alcohol and drugs. The hotel has not taken any steps to ensure the calm of its guests. It is impossible to sleep in such conditions. 📢 Conclusion: An establishment to avoid at all costs This hotel is a disgrace. The Baya Patong Hotel is not only dirty and dilapidated, but its staff is contemptuous and rude. I was just demanding a minimum of hygiene and comfort, and I received scorn. Don't go under any circumstances. This hotel is dangerous for health and morale. My 43-day stay (more than six weeks!) at Hotel Bahia in Patong proved to be an endless ordeal. I had nevertheless booked a Superior Double Room, but I was treated as a person without any consideration for my well-being, or even my dignity more Aïcha the receptionist told me to make a check out if I am not happy....

Total scam. Booked through Trip.com, the room was advertised as clean and lovely but turned out filthy, broken, and disgusting. I refused to stay, asked for a refund, and was denied. Trip.com was no help, so I had to go through my bank to get my money back. Avoid both this place and Trip.com — there are far better, cheaper options nearby. For example, Pimnara Boutique Hotel was fantastic.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and, unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. First impressions were not great – the reception staff seemed very uninterested and unwelcoming. On check-in, we were asked to pay a 1,000 baht deposit, something that wasn’t advertised anywhere during booking, which left a bad taste right from the start. When we entered the room, we were hit by a strong drainage smell, which persisted for the entire stay despite leaving the air con on. The room itself had a tired view and was in need of redecorating. There was also a long laminated list of strict rules about breakages, which didn’t feel very hospitable. On the positive side, the air conditioning worked well, the shower was basic but functional, and daily cleaning was carried out. The on-site laundry was also convenient. However, the pool area and the rooms looked nothing like the photos online – we felt misled by the advertising. Location-wise, it was okay with shops nearby, but you will need to get a taxi to the main beach and Bangla Road area. Overall, this hotel didn’t live up to expectations. It might be fine for a short, no-frills stay if you just need somewhere to sleep, but be prepared for hidden costs, dated rooms, and facilities that don’t match the pictures.
