Kalim Beach Place

Name of this hotel is Di Pantai and initially I found it difficult to locate as taxi drivers did not have any clue about Kalim Beach Place hotel and in the end traced the location over the phone only. Espicially morning shift Staff was not very much helpful and completely ignored us when we enquired about local area. Hence we helped ourselves. But the night shift lady was quite opposite, very helpful and courteous, gave us her own phone to contact our travel agent. Location - just around 2 miles away form Patong Beach

This is my second time here, where the First one was last year where it's the same climate and few tourist are at bay,,, if you like some peace and quiet hotel away from the noisy crowd this is the hotel for you... Their restaurant is just a 100m walk on stilts on kalim bay side of the road. They serve all halal food, their food is quite nice and zesty (I love Thai food)... at time of my vacation it's seems hard to get a cab or a tuk tuk... anyway I tried to walk to Patong beach the first time I but I wouldn't recommend it... transportation is quite at hand on peak season... my stay is well spent over again... a book over the pool or in the balcony and a soft breeze from Andaman jusy hit the spot. Good value for money.

We arrived at 12pm after a really long trip! the rooms were dirthy: there was poop in the wc, rusty taps, hair on the floor, dust everywhere and the bed had not been remake.... Someone slep there the night before and they didn't change sheets! I asked for a baby bed (my son is 1year old) but when we arrived it was not in the room; when I asked the staff directed me to a rusty cot in the balcony with a mattress stuck with brown spots!! throughout the area including rooms stink of sewer!
