Onibaku Hotel

Its situated in a not so busy area alonside with rows of budget hotels. Its affordable and cheaper walk-in rates are also offered when accomodations are not full. Its around 15 minutes of walk to the beach and approximately the same going to Big C taking the shorter route. Rooms are modest and average sized and each has a small balcony. Fridge ( not a mini -bar ) and lcd tv with English cable channels are provided. There is no lift though and stairs are narrow and steep. If ypu carry big suitcases and on the elderly side, better take the lower level rooms, though theres a need to engage still their steep stairs. Room get cleaned daily. Laundry services are everywhere in the vicinity. 711 is just a few steps away and further down the main thoroughfare are rows of restaurants that offer local fares.

I booked Onibaku for 27 nights and I am not disappointed. The staff is very nice and helpful and the rooms are big and clean and the beds are more than adequate (a bit hard but it's not something that bothered me). It does look a lot better in the pictures, but I have no problems with some worn out furniture (it honestly wasn't bad and doesn't take away from the perfect score). You have both 7-Eleven and Family Mart 10-50 meter from the hotel, laundry service on the opposite side of the road, massage everywhere and there's even a really nice cafe/restaurant nearby called Troy (try their chicken pizza!) with extremely nice staff as well. There is even very cheap thai food nearby, or if you want more expensive food, you can even find that without having to walk far. The beach is about 10 minute walk from the hotel. However I found out that northern part of the beach is more much enjoyable. More clear water and better beach activities (place for volley, etc). WIFI is ok. It's enough to browse the web and even upload some photos. It's stable and I had great signal on 2nd floor (they have different hotspots for different floors). But it's also covered by free Patong WIFI which is a lot faster for uploads, but not as stable (connection drops sometimes). There's even a TV but I never turned it on. All in all, I'm happy I stayed at Onibaku. I even met a friend who worked there (who unfortunately had to quit a week or two after I arrived). Thank you for your hospitality Onibaku!

I travel quite a lot worldwide and after my experiences I can write only the best things about Onibaku Hotel. – The staff is really very friendly. We have had a fantastic welcome and great hospitality. – We arrived in early morning and we didn't have to wait until afternoon, because they prepared us a room very quickly (we even did not have to ask for it, they presented it from themselwes, and we appreciated this consideration so much). – Our room was clean, nice, perfectly equipped, having a friendly and peaceful atmosphere with balcony. The linens, towels were fresh, clean. – The wifi worked perfectly. – In a few meters of the hotel there were more shops, like 7eleven, Family Mart and also some good and cheap restaurants where you can find every nice thai foods and all what you wish. – The location of the hotel is really good. 15 minutes walk to the beach just like to Bangla. The street of the hotel is silent. In price value Onibaku is definitely the best and most excellent chioce in Patong. Highly recommended!
