Patong Beach Bed and Breakfast

The 3 star rating is for the owners. Bad experience with the reception lady where she insisted to collect additional B100 for god sake we were not aware what for. When we consistently asked, she began to play the "no english" trick. We immediately reported this back to owners via email (who happens to be in other location building a new hotel that they'll soon operate). The owners were so apologetic and mentioned to have the incident checked with the one and only reception staff manning the entire place when we checked in. Reception is only open until 8PM and opens again at 8AM the next day. We were made aware of that and not an issue for us. You get a key for the main door (and a separate one for your room) and if your main door key fails at night, no other way of you getting into the hotel but wait for other guests to arrive back so you can tailgate. Room is average in size and somewhat clean. Water pressure in the private toilet is low but has hot shower. Bath towels provided but no shower gels/shampoo. The name says Patong Beach Bed and Breakfast, they do not offer any breakfast when asked. The hotel is easy to find, service transports from Phuket airport knows the place when we were asked where we want to be dropped off. It is right across Patong beach and only a few meter walk from the Party street of Phuket. Really quiet at night for a good night sleep.

Booked for 3 nights 2 weeks ago. On late(ish) arrival we went up a steep flight of stairs to a room. The room was very dark as the view was a brick wall about 18" away from our window. Bulbs missing, hard, unclean bed, threadbare towels, shower had to be held as the fixing was loose. Our friends room stank of smoke, there are NO, I repeat NO breakfast facilities here at all. No lobby to sit in, not a secure building entry system either. it's a joke to be called a B and B. It's an expensive hostel at best. Good location, but would of been better kipping on the beach to be fair. Stayed one night, then made a booking somewhere else and lost 2 nights prepaid money for the room. Anything was better. Ok, so I'm not looking for 2/3/4/5 star accomodation, but I expect the basics AND a breakfast. Just do yourselves a favour.....AVOID THIS PIT. THE PHOTOS DONT SHOW THE TRUE FILTH AND BAD REPAIR.

A Bed and Breakfast stay always includes two ingredients...a bed...and breakfast...but not here,no breakfast on offer ,and a very grubby,stained bed too. After a late afternoon arrival,and struggling to find the place ( due to a name change ) and then having to look for someone who might remotely resemble a receptionist we climbed the two flights of stairs ( no lift ) and we entered a grotty room that stunk of cigarettes. We quickly realised that we would not be staying here for the expected three day,s and made arrangements to leave, though we did endure the one night here, due to our late arrival. The pictures attached show horrible towels, a pathetic shower hanging off the wall, no bulbs in three light fittings, stained mattresses , and a window that looks out on to a brick wall !! I have seriously never seen anything like it. The Patong Beach Bed AND Breakfast ( also known as the Grand Blue Hotel !) is no better than a Hostel....AVOID !!!
