Recently fully refurbished big newly painted and furnished rooms. A great host you can’t beat it for the price. Walk to anywhere you need to go well priced beer and food. It’s got everything you need. There’s plenty of bars around and it’s a short walk to the beach. Within 3mins you’ve got everything from quality street food, big family smorgasbords and top end restaurants.

This a great place to stay. Perfect locatation for everything. Beach a short walk away with plenty to see and do on the way. At night your 100 metres from the amazing ban zan food market where you can buy your evening take away fresh cooked and the choice is amazing. Rooms here very clean. Great WiFi. But what make this a gem is the amazing staff. They will go out of their way to help with anything. 4 great girl, constantly funny and cheerful. Food great and low priced. The area is real Thai as opposed to the main tourist area. I'm deffinatly going back next time.

AVOID PATONG.................If you do go to PATONG..............avoid this guest house. It is not stanley's. I would call it " STREET NUISANCE GUESTHOUSE" why??????????????? I have traveled THAILAND 9 (nine) times in last 5 years. I never encountered such SLEEP DISTURBANCES in my visits so far. THE HOUSE STAFF should be educated about health consciousness. One should elaborate to them a healthy amount of sleep for the average adult is around seven to eight hours each night. I am ashamed the proprietor has employed a THAI STAFF WHO DON'T KNOW THE "BASIC SCIENCE OF SLEEP" DISADVANTAGES: a) The bar girls will switch on loud music until 5 a.m which could RUIN your sleep and RESULTANT holiday. b) The bed is so flexible that it could cause you back pain. Some part of the cot fell off. c) No escalator (Imagine if you walk to third floor) d) Patong part of Phuket is very expensive. Better switch to Kamala or kathu in Phuket province. d) Stanley's guesthouse food is expensive. ADVANTAGES: a) The staff could complement you with a small sachet of jam or butter. But they WILL HAVE THE LOUD MUSIC ON UNTIL 5 A.M and spoil your holiday. Hotel Tip: ALL SORTS OF TRAVELERS AVOID PATONG AS WELL AS STANLEY'S. Because of the loud music torture i cancelled my holiday four days ahead and took flight.
