U Tai Tip Guest House

Located bit away from Patong beach U Tai Tip is very nice and clean guest house for budget travelers. The reception is small but the rooms are big with all amenities. The Guest House is run by small family, I liked it.

Very old guesthoue..paid for a week upon check in and decided to leave the next day. Not very central. Owners did not even know how to speak english..only Thai and took ages to find our reservation with booking.com

We stayed in the hotel two nights and it was pretty good. The room was spatious, the bed was big and comfortable and everything even looked quite new! It didn't look like a budget hotel room, while you still pay a budget price. Even AC i found to be very good - it was quite, where in most places AC is very loud. We didn't have cash on us when we checked in, so they told us that its ok if we pay later. We ended up paying in the evening of next day and they were fine with this. The main downside of this hotel is that the staff really doesn't speak english...absolutely no one in this hotel speaks english, so they cannot help you with anything.........although I have to say that when we didn't have a soap in our room and the towels we got smelled bad, i tried to explain it with a sign language and tried to draw it on a paper, they understood and replaced the towels and gave us soap. Although the towels were still dirty (that's another downside) This hotel is also 10-15 minutes walk to the beach, which we didn't mind as we wanted to stay in a quiter location which it was!
