We spent a total of three nights in this quiet little resort located (literally) 10 metres from the beach front. We were fortunate enough to have the entire place to ourselves for two nights before other guests arrived on our third night. It is located in the quieter part of Ban Krut but is only a 10 minute walk to the 'centre of town' where the 7-11 and Tesco are located. It is also only a 10 minute walk to the nearby seafood restaurants which are open from about 10am in the morning. The resort has a number of bicycles (old and not too well kept but functional) that you can borrow to get to where you want to, if you don't want to walk. The pool isn't actually on the premises but is a short 150m walk from the resort grounds. The staff don't speak much English but enough to provide you information on the nearby amenities and the like.

We stayed for one week in a villa. The resort is in a beautiful location and setting. The staff are delightful and there are people around all the time just gently raking, cleaning, tidying. We had the large, pretty pool to ourselves. It's such a sleepy village at first I wondered if a week was going to be too long. I had forgotten how to relax. Within a few days I was enjoying reading a book, not having plans, not having to be anywhere or do anything. It was so nice to just ride bicycles around the area, get lost a little bit, explore the beach, mosey up the road for some som tum Thai and larb gai for lunch then ride back for a swim and a bit more reading. At a ceremony for a new monk at one of the Buddhist temples the locals even got us to dance with them in the street. Such happy people, such a happy place. The train trip down from Bangkok was good and the bus ride back was fine.

We really enjoy staying at this resort. We spent 2 nights in one of the garden bungalows in February 2018. Check in was easy as usual, bungalow was clean and comfortable. Kettle with coffee sachets only. Toiletries supplied. Umbrella on the verandah with table and chairs. Bed not too hard. The swimming pool area is always quiet and the pool was so refreshing. The resort still has some deck chairs and umbrellas across the road on the beach. The restaurant food is so delicious and they are very generous with their serves. Ban Krut is still a very quiet and laid back village, with some good seafood restaurants. Only saw one construction site happening on the bend heading towards the 7 11. Ban Krut is a perfect place to visit if you want a very relaxing holiday. We will be back.
