Chalay Monta Hua Hin

The hotel is well-located for going to the beach, and the front desk staff is friendly. However, the room was outdated, the floor is very worn, and everything else needs improvement. We stayed for 2 nights and the cleaning was not done. We will not return there.

Good: Place is an 7-minute walk from the Ferry dock (to Pattaya). One block away is good place for coffee, juice, and snack (AirSpace—you can also eat there). Grab taxis to central Hua Hin 20 mins (5 minutes to wait for the grab 15 minute drive) 150 baht each way. Hotel receptionist is very nice/helpful. Beds are medium soft (comfortable!) Shower is good. Block-out curtains work well. Check-out is noon (and you can bargain for later if occupancy is low) 12 minute walk to the local beach, but take a Grab or taxi south Khao Tao beach—much nicer. Bad: Lack of outlets in the room (need to unplug lamps to plug in phones/computers, etc). They don't secure their wifi, so it's obviously being used by neighbors, and slows considerably at times. Sheets are synthetic (but this is a general problem in Thailand for places less than 2,000 baht/night). Rates vary wildly on online. I found the rate better with Agoda (and also cheaper than paying cash at the place). //

Great hotel. we like so much. Staff so friendly. one of my must haves in a hotel is a comfy bed. This did not disappoint. Also near many resturaunt. and only short walk to the beach well worth a visit . We will deffo be back.
