D Varee Xpress Hillside Hua Hin

Stayed here for 3 nights in the superior room, the room itself was huge as was the adjoining toilet and for once the bed was amazing and comfortable, it is out of the way and I would call it a budget hotel simply because it feels and looks as though it is being run down, not many staff seem to work here, the breakfast isn't good for me, my door into the room was sticking and we had to get help to open the door, the net curtains looked shabby, the bath tub with whirlpool couldn't be used because it did'nt have a plug and in any case leaked...having said all that I have checked in here again for 2 nights because the bed is really comfortable and after my last hotel I need some decent sleep...shame could be a beautiful hotel but in need of lots of maintenance

We booked a three day stay at this hotel. Unfortanetly the evening the day before arriving, Hua Hin was hit by several bombing attack. On the day that we should arrive some more boms went of or found. The hotel could not been reached due to roadblocks by the authorities. We or the booking site could not get in touch with the hotel. The hotel is not willing to pay back the reservation, because we did not cancel in time. This would have ment that we should have done that before the bombing even took place. The hotel does not take in regard that there were special circumstances why it was impossible to make use of our reservation. Lousy Customer Care

Room was not made up supposidly because we did not tell them it needed doing the other room that i booked for my sister in law was made up without notification pool closed at 8pm so we removed our children to comply people were still yelling and screaming at 1pm with glasses and crap strewn around the pool in the morning there were no books or paperwork on who to ring for help room service or front desk or outside line I have never filled in one of these reports before after years holidaying in Thailand this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at hope this helps in any decision you make restraint was closed at 7:30 pm
