The hotel is on a narrow street with numerous restaurants. I was able to walk to the restaurant of my choosing without having to worry about the traffic. There is a big enough pool in the backyard that I used several times. However, there were not any steps in the deep part of the pool so I needed at least a modicum of agility to get out of the pool. The woman in charge of Sand Inn is very approachable. There was a lot of activity in the hall on my last night so it may not be the best hotel for sleeping.

It is a very cheap hotel with very basic amenities. Location is very dated. That said, it is safe, clean, and location cannot be beat. Nice staff. Nice view from the balcony. It didn't cost much to stay here.

My room was clean and the shower worked fine...the view was nice, the balcony was big and the bar staff were really hospitable (The head of staff spoke great english, as did the owner). The location was perfect, right in the heart of Hua hin and about 10 mins walk from the beach. At 800 THB a night, I can't complain. But apparently when it's busy the price can go up to at least 1000 THB. But I thought it was great.
