Sawasdee Coco Resort

I stayed at this hotel and was truly impressed. The room was spacious with a lovely atmosphere, and the beach was just a short walk away. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the people on the island were kind and warm as well. For friends who are looking for a relaxing getaway not too far from Bangkok, I highly recommend this place. You’ll get beautiful views, soft white sandy beaches, and a peaceful vibe. I’m sure you’ll be impressed and fall in love with it 😊

Idyllic location right on the powdery white sand of Sai Kaew beach. Very helpful staff on reception & super friendly housekeeping/room service staff. The staff at the coffee shop could have been more attentive, spending most of the time on their phones. If they'd look around and tidy up or even serve it would make things a better experience. Good aircon, decent shower but the rooms are a touch small & a bit lacking in privacy. All in all we would go back. 3.5 stars

We spent 4 days on Ko Samet in this beautiful hotel. Let me start by saying that we had a sky view beach front room, therefore on the first floor with a view of the sea and a bathtub to relax while listening to the waves... I only saw the other rooms while passing by and they guarantee little privacy: they all overlook the path from the reception it leads to the beach so anyone can look into the room. Breakfast is included and is served in your room at the agreed time. There is also a bar available that offers smoothies with fresh fruit, all types of coffee and croissants. Frequented only by Thais and Chinese (at least in this period) so they are not accustomed to Western habits but it is also a way to immerse yourself in another culture, for us part of the journey. The beach is very beautiful, for many the most beautiful on the island. On some days it is practically deserted, on others it is under attack. No problem for lunch or dinner: the beach is full of restaurants and there are some food vendors at any time of the day: fruit, grilled chicken, green papaya salad... with just a few euros you are really spoiled for choice . You can even go out without shoes, you won't need them. A tip: book directly on the hotel website without going through intermediaries, it will save you 50%. Don't worry if there are more than two of you... I went to a lot of trouble to point out that there were 3 of us but they are used to overcrowding (I've seen families of 6-7 in a single room). At least once, take a taxi (if we want to call a pick up that has this function here) and let yourself be taken to Ao Wai beach: it is private but you can stay there without problems, there is a nice bar restaurant where you can have lunch, lots of shade under the trees and a splendid sea. It's worth it!
