Chaweng Lakeview Condotel

We spent a wonderful month at Chaweng Lake View, and leaving this place was really hard. It is a simple hotel, but it has everything you need to feel good, serene and pampered. It is in a perfect location, about 8 minutes from Chaweng and Fisherman’s Village, so close to downtown but away from the hustle and bustle, ideal for relaxing. Our apartment was cozy and functional: bedroom, private bathroom, kitchen with refrigerator, air conditioning that worked perfectly and a large terrace where we spent beautiful moments. Also the parking included was very convenient. The cleanliness is impeccable: fresh and fragrant towels, even beach towels, well-washed sheets and room cared for with great attention. Every detail made you feel the love with which this place is run. But the real difference is made by the family that runs it: wonderful people, always smiling, kind and helpful. We felt welcomed as at home, indeed, as family. It is one of those places that remain in your heart... and where you can not wait to return. We will definitely return 💛🌴

Soo I booked 3 months at this place and it is the dumbest thing I ever done haha. I booked trough airbnb and every time i asked in the reception for something i was asked to talk to my host on airbnb and there is noo communication between them..... The staff don’t know English at all and it can be really frustrating at times. The women in the kitchen is the sweetest lady but she only have chicken and rice. Some days she dont have food at all and on Saturday the kitchen is closed. its a small kitchen in the apartment but there is nothing to cook with and I got a microwave that was sooo disgusting in side, had not been cleaned for a couple of years and I couldn’t use it anyway because of the socket. It was alot of ketchup(lets hope so) on the wall and on the table. You cant control the temperature on the air-con soo it can bee freezing if you fall a sleep with it on. I brought my prescription sleeping medicine but i didn’t need them so they where just laying on the table, after 3 weeks I noticed that almost 10 was missing... i didn’t say anything because i still had 2 months left there and I didn’t want to blame anyone but i know I didn’t take them.. After 2 months i asked to check the electric bill and water, they wanted 15.000bath for 2 months!! And I didn’t use the air-con because of the temperature. .. soo after some discussion she asked me to check out, only problem was that I didn’t get a refund soo i stayed.. Soo i payed 5000bath for 2 months then i left for 1 week and had only 3 weeks left there and I didn’t use the air-con or the tv, but still 1900bath in electricity . The cleaning is what it is haha the bathroom was not cleaned often and the drain to the shower is so disgusting and full of dirt that the water won’t go done. Its far from Chaweng street, if you don’t drive a scooter it will be a lot of taxi. Its a thai neighbourhood so its a lot of dogs there that’s barking all night and can be a bit aggressive if you walk there when its dark..

Booked 3 rooms at this property November 2018, it is a self catering complex, when we arrived not one of the apartments had so much as a knife in the kitchen, no pots,pans,cups,plates absolutely nothing. We did request these items and all of our party was issued with one of each item, so once used you had to wash up before you could make anything else. One of the fridges had no shelves or door on the freezer, with the results that the food froze. One of the cooker was coming away from housing unit. (See pictures) Our air con was faulty and took 4 days to have repaired. TV was faulty and wasn’t repaired. All the apartments had huge balconies, but no furniture so you could not sit on it. The sun bed covers had green moss on them. As stated on another review, this place is well out of Chewang, it is situated down a residential road, surrounded by shacks, and everyone of them must own a dog as they howl all night, along with the chickens that crow all night, it’s impossible to sleep in this place. I accept that it is not expensive to stay here, but there is too many negatives. There is also a swamp area close by that’s a hive for mosquitoes. On a positive note the pool was great, and the staff really pleasant. There is no way I could recommend this place, it is easy to see it has not been maintained for years.
