Haad Yao Bungalows

Charming bungalows right near the centre of the beach. They are really in need of an update: old stained porcelain and no plug in the sink. The TV was an old CRT type, and despite the description there was no mini bar. However the A/C worked well and the bed was comfortable

Bungalows clean, close to the beach and very good food in restaurant! The staff is lovely and helpfull. Good value for the money. Will come back!! Located on the best part on Haad Yao beach and close to 7/11, motorbike rent across 7/11 also recommended!

The reason of our low rating is because of the extremely unpleasant personnel, mainly at reception. The beach is nice and the bungalows are clean, no-frills, maybe a bit too expensive for what you get (in Koh Samui for example we paid less for a much charming hotel), but all in all OK. However, the people working here are unprofessional, quite rude, with no sense of customer service. They didn't even greet us upon arrival...they never said hello when meeting us during the whole holiday. We had a clear feeling that we were bothering them for whatever question we might have: the Wi-Fi password, where to find a scooter, etc. This is our fourth time in Thailand and we never got such a treatment; on the contrary we always had very positive experiences and always felt welcome.
