Peach Guesthouse

Arrived here with my boyfriend after booking a hut for 10 nights. I can not describe the feeling of being absolutely gutted as soon as we saw it. There was all junk rubbish around the hut and an old dirty mattress on the balcony. Inside was filthy, the bed was 2 mattresses on top of each other on the floor. The bed sheets were covered in stains and cigarette burn hole. Very very very old and dated. Curtains help up with tape, cockroach’s in room, shower did not work water just spurted out from the base where the tap was. WiFi did not work. We went and complained and she said she that it was full moon party so she couldn’t change us rooms til the next day. Slept in my clothes on top of my towel. The next day we changed from a hut to a room in the apartment block. This was honestly no better. Room was dirty and dated. Falling apart with a broken dresser in the corner and a big dirty old tv stand. The balcony was dirty with 2 full ash trays on. There was a hard crusty stain on the bed sheets. Got given a list of different WiFi’s and codes none which worked still. Had to buy a SIM card with data on in the end. Only good things were air con and the shower was powerful. Skin was crawling, again slept fully dressed on my towel. The next day we left and moved to a different place for a few days so we could stay somewhere nice for Christmas. However we could not check out properly as we had to come back for the final 2 nights as everywhere was booked up. The worse thing was this was the most expensive place we stayed during our whole trip! We were paying much much less for totally amazing places! I have travelled through Thailand and many other places and this is the worse place I have ever ever stayed. I would not recommend to anyone.

This was literally my last option as I wanted a room all by myself instead of a hostel. I decided to go to the full moon party in last minute. So all the nice rooms were booked out or became very expensive. I got a double room without AC for 2 nights. The room is full of ...smell. I have no words to describe what smell it is. Even I opened the door to let fresh air in, it was useless. After a while you need to close the door because there are loads of mosquitoes outside. The bed was okay. There were 2 fans so it wasn't too hot. The bathroom, again, I have no words to describe it. It was old and rundown but still functioning. Hot showers are available but you don't need it, it's too hot. I wasn't staying in the main building of the guesthouse. Instead, I have to walk 3 minutes to my room. I am okay with that as it is quiet at night. WiFi works well as well. Staff wasn't too friendly at first but okay later. Walkable distance to full moon party beach and restaurants. I realized if you did not book in advance before full moon party, there are other accommodation available by walk-in.

Booked late, 2 weeks from full moon party. Accommodation wasn't cheap as I was staying in a room by myself. Stayed 3 nights here and wanted to leave after 2 nights. Only reason I slept was due to my tiredness not due to the comfort of the room. Staff seem friendly. Wifi is so unreliable it should be advertised as no Wifi. Sheets had stains and felt dirty. Some mattresses will be hard and now I understand the concept of pressure sores as I woke up with my heels in pain. AC doesn't work in some rooms. My friend's AC works but it leaked. Fridge is fine. Mould in bathroom and bathroom door. Towels looked grey from use. Ants and bugs inside room. Expect to be bitten by insects during your stay. Location is not that close to the beach 7mins walk.
