The travel agent I booked my stay at Cosy Bungalows with showed me a very nice brochure with pictures of bright, clean, comfortable looking Bungalows and dorms. The reality is anything but, and I can only assume the brochure photos were taken decades ago. The first bungalow I was given had a stream of ants crawling along the wall and dead ants on the bedsheets. I requested a different room and the staff obliged. The second bungalow was better. However, much like the first, was in a severe state of disrepair. The sink tap was barely still attached to the sink and there were numerous holes in the walls of the bungalow which allowed a variety of insects to come in during my stay (I shared my showers with centipedes, ants, and on one evening a cockroach). To top it all off the fan exploded on my last night in the bungalow at 02:30 in the morning, sending the fan guard and shards of fan blades flying across the room. I was amazed I wasn't hit. The emergency staff member on duty (as the reception is only open 8am - 8pm) decided not to do anything about the debris and just brought me a spare fan, seeming to have little care for the seriousness of what had just happened, and seemed much more concerned about getting back to bed. Overall I was relieved to be checking out of Cosy Bungalows after my stay and would not recommend it to anyone.

After reading some reviews I was a bit apprehensive about staying here but was impressed. I stayed in the mixed bed dorm and it was really comfy and modern. Each bed is in its only little pod so it’s very private and cosy. Only down side is that the bathrooms are outside so did share it with some bugs now and again but overall not bad. Located right on the beach front, with a restaurant and bar on the shore. Overall really good.
