Zoe Frenchy Resort

We stayed here while the new Italian owner was renovating and taking over the place. We had a great stay, at a bargain price for a simple bungalow on the beach. I believe the name of this place might be changed - to a more Italian name- if it is, someone should update it here, The rooms are basic but clean, good enough washrooms. You are right on the beach, and couldn't ask for more for the price. The owners are very nice, helpful and try to make sure you have a great stay. I would certainly recommend it as a good budget beach bungalow in KP

Stayed here with some friends for the full moon, of course, as it had great reviews. Turns out it was in the process of changing management to a rather curious guy who hadn't a clue about running a business. Don't get me wrong we had a good time but the new guy was a but crazy, drinks are now self service and there's no chance of food or even a receptionist half the time. The new manager was more interested in playing flute or going out and partying but then again he'd get you involved in whatever of his crazy antics he could. Basically if you're looking for chilled good service, a restaurant etc then you're in the wrong place. If you want an eventful stay with random happenings, weird music and art - probably a good shout (if it's still in business..)

We stayed for a week over new year, had a great time! After our original accommodation fell through we found Zoe Frenchy by chance. Fred and his family held the room for us while we made out way across Phangan. The usual price is great however we had to pay more due to the island being fully booked up. The location is great, it's on a private beach front with 4 other resorts, very quiet and great for chilling out. The food is quality (try the burgers! 200baht) and the drinks are reasonable (60baht for beer). It's in between the port and Haad Rin and taxis are pretty frequent outside and will run you anywhere for 100baht. We got a moped through Fred as it worked out much cheaper. If you like the beach bum lifestyle you can't go wrong!
