Jean Pool Villa’s location was a bit confusing for us! When we found the check in spot the owner was so lovely and accommodating. Loved the idea of having the shower outside however there were lots of mosquitos! The sliding doors weren’t very secure in locking and one had come off the hinges a bit. The villa included a range of kitchenware which was great! Our room was cleaned well each day and dishes were washed for us. Breakfast was included and was great! There was a menu with lots of different breakfast options to choose from however this was offsite from the villa itself.

Although the location of the property is not correct in the description, I did some homework on Google to find my surroundings. It's a great location, with a quick 5min walk to Sala Samui where you can use the beach for the day, if you don't want to lounge by your pool. Lots of shops available within walking distance. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. The Manager was a very nice lady that popped in the morning after I checked in to make sure if I need anything. The only thing I would say is that they need to have someone at the reception counter. Upon check in and check out there was no one available and I had to call from my international number to get someone to meet me on both occasions.

It takes 15 minutes in a taxi to get to Fishermans Village and about the same to Big Buddha. The walk into Choengmon is accurate in the description - about 5 mins but we were disappointed because we booked specifically to be close to Fishermans (advertised as 5 min walk on Booking.com). The lady when we checked in thought this was hilarious! the villa itself is much as described, a little jaded but OK (although the sunbeds were more comfortable than the bed in the bedroom).Had a lovely peaceful few days but spent a lot on taxi fares because the location was completely wrong.
