SUCH A STYLISH UNIQUE HOTEL : COOL FACTOR 10++ . we have been a few times to thailand and this is the best place we stayed we simply loved it and infact went for a few days visit from our base camp over to samui , and didnt go back to our other hotel/resort again we just asked them to courier our luggage to bangkok , changed flights easy enough bout £30 , haha its just that good !!! . better than anything in pipi krabi bangkok huahin samui phangan , the coolest by far .
when we went NO other guests where there and it isnt cos this place is rubbish its new and its word of mouth as its where the owners live , and they want the right people going there not just any lout from a holiday rag , they clearly dont need the cash its their pet project with about 30 individual [?] rooms . lager louts dont bother going you wont fit in . no word of a lie we had the whole hotel for 3 days . then another couple came it felt like OUR place been invaded hahaha. it is such a special place to stay .
when we got there they said look around pick any room you want they are all diff ! every rooms IS different . the hotel is like a massive art exhibition . its so refreshing and nice to be there . location is brill its a 3 mins taxi round the lake , or 5 mins walk ,to the centre. we just got a moped from end of road for the time we where there . ok there are more expensive places , more lavish places , places on the beach , but if you want a super cool basecamp , go here . they have lots of good relaxing hide outs to chill/sunbath, a quite small but again unique plunge pool open all hours next to the nitetime dancefloor, a bar with really cool dj's who play good tunes and have good uk guests on . not just bang on some hed kandi cd or anything but dj's who know what they play house or chilled .
we had the best time here . everything is hand made for this place all the internal water features and decor nothing is mass produced or faceless like 'just another floor in a marriot' . its lavish for sure .
the people are so genuine i know everyone says it about 'mohamed off the pool bar' blah blah on holiday , but this really was the case and not for a tip . its 12 months ago cant remember her name off front desk [begins with 's'] she is so helpful. also cos we then extended our stay here , arranging our new flights , luggage re-route , booking of various services was all done by her with us , and talk about going out of your way to help us , this lady is a true STAR looking for phone numbres and services on the net and making calls for us . to this hotel we salute you , you made our latest thailand our best trip there yet .
and also its just along the main road [100m on right overlooking lake] from the best italian food in samui [again cant remember name but i got it off this forum before i went] the floor manager there runs the place with a passion , the 2nd best would be 'prego' bit further away .
was so impressed with the standard of resorts , restaurants/food , shops , bars in samui . much higher spec than anywhere else in thai . ok it wasnt as authentic , as remote , etc as other places , but for luxury , nitelife , choices etc it has to be a few days on samui as a quick trip . just book a inland flight when you get there , it cos us about £100 return bangkok samui , from krabi it would be pennies , and vice versa krabi pipi chicken island walking between islands at low tide etc etc was so much more like you envisage ultimate idyllic dream hols not samui . we havve done both now .bangkok is unmissbale to for a few days . oh thailand why are you so good ?!!!!!!! .
warning : anyone going to full moon party from samui be careful about getting home after the party - read my other message im about to post now highlighting the sheer stupidty and danger of thousands trying to leave a small island at the same time !
