Samui Sunrise Resort

The hotel is great for people seeking a quiet holiday or long term stay with daily beach going, yoga or Muay Thai classes, healthy eating, occasional nightlife and shopping in Bophut and Chaweng. Good value for money and very friendly.

The guy running the place was really nice, and helpful where he could be, but you always had to ask him for everything. Plus he kept going missing during the day and there wasn't anyone else there to help us when we needed it. We were there for a week and they never cleaned our room once. They only gave us fresh towels when we asked. Also when we left the old towels outside the room, like we were told, they were there for another day or two. Our room had no wardrobe too, so we were living out of suitcases. No one knows where this place is, especially cab drivers. It's in a terrible location. It was bucketing down one day and we were stuck in our room and we found that there's nothing to do around the area The breakfast too was just the guy's running the place and his girlfriend whipping up eggs and cereal. The rooms were nice and it was cheap. Hardly a resort though, more like a upscale backpacking hostel. Better off paying more for a hotel in Mae Nam. You'll spend the difference in cab fair.

We stayed 6 nights in total and we were really satisfied in here. One of the best accommodations of our month travelling in south east Asia :) Guys in the charge - amazing couple, very nice people, able to help you with everything, possible to pick you up in the ferry. A room was really nice, clean, A/C worked well, fridge. Free breakfast was great - you can't find accommodation like this for this price :) possible to rent a motorbike. It is a little bit far from the main beach, but there is really nice small beach close to the hotel. Thank you guys for everything, would be nice to be back one day ;)
