Serene Hill Resort And Spa

Pool bar was closed our entire stay. Cocktails were removed from the menu, they told us to drink down the road. Awful food, tasted like microwaved packet eggs. The "Restaurant" had 2 menu items and was part of the hotel lobby, along with the "Bar". Left after day 2 of 8 on our holiday to find decent accommodation. Don't waste your time or money with this place, it's falling apart, the staff are rude, half the things on the advertisements for this place were a lie. This is not a Resort, it's a motel.

Very outdated accomodation, the floorboards in the room squeak everywhere - also so slippery that you can fall over in bare feet. The shower barely gets warm and that’s after having it run for a while. No ac in the lounge area, only in the bedrooms - not the best ac. Pool is full of dead bugs and dead frogs, swim up bar is not as it seems, they bring the drink from the main area and the pool bar didn’t seem to operate at all. Staff are lovely and ready to help - seemed like they were bored as there weren’t many guests at the time we were there so maybe they were more helpful due to limited guests to serve.

We had 3 huts which were very comfortable and a nice deck ,the swimming pool was wonderful and the breakfast was good.The staff were very friendly and helpful.The location was good and quite as it was a 5 min walk to the restaurants and bars.we stayed two nights before we went to Koh Tao and two nights on the way back . I would stay there again as it was all good .
