The Living Pool Villas

We had an exceptional stay at Krittabun’s Villa. The space is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. The location is perfect. There are many shops, food options, 7/11, pharmacy, laundry etc. Everything you need is in walking distance. Ignore the negative reviews you may see online. They don’t relate to Kriittibun or his villas. They are for a nearby property which looks similar. Krittabun was an exceptional host and went over and above to ensure we had a great stay. Thanks once again.

Our stay at The Living Pool Villas was so bad I am struggling to put it into words. We stayed in the two bedroom pool villa and it looked nothing at all like the pictures. It’s run down to the point of being unliveable. The bed was so uncomfortable we could barely sleep the first night and the springs in the mattress were protruding into our backs, so we complained and got moved into one of the ‘hotel rooms’ with no refund in the price difference. The hotel room was also dated and had a strong smell of mould but the bed was more comfortable so we decided to give it a try for one night. Big mistake! Turns out the hotel section of this resort is infested with bed bugs and they ate us alive all night and it completely ruined our trip. We had booked a week stay and checked out on the second day and the staff were so rude and unhelpful, and outright refused to refund us for the remaining 5 days we had paid for. Dirty, dated, and bug infested villas/rooms, and unhelpful, rude, and dishonest staff. Avoid this place like the plague.

Terrible Hotel - I DO NOT RECOMMEND. My partner and I went to this hotel on the 3rd January. From check-in, the warning signs had already begun. First, we were told to wait for other 'guests' - but no one was around. 30 minutes later, we checked in. The room, was not what we booked, as it didn't match the photos from hotels.com - it was supposed to be a 'deluxe' room - but it was far from it. We asked, and they assured us it was the right room. The room, was bare bones, basic and had what was needed. The curtains, seemed as if they'd fall off the runners at any time, the air-con was so noisy, that if you wanted to sleep, you'd have to turn it off unless you were an extremely heavy sleeper. And, on the talk of 'sleep' - well, good luck having that here. With the 'DELUXE' rooms, they neglected to mention you're conveniently placed next to a very, very busy road. This road, has all manner of vehicles going up it from morning till night, preventing us from getting any sleep. Hot room + noisy aircon + noisy road = no sleep We decided to ask management if they could move us away from the road, to an empty room - we'd booked 17 days there, and the place was empty, we saw just 1 person there. One man had said yes, who I thought was the owner. We waited 1 hour - and then we tried to move - to then be told by the receptionist, that if we wanted to move away from the road, we had the choice to either pay more money for the 'poolside deluxe' room, or move upstairs, which was stupidly, still by the road. They missed the point entirely. We checked the other room, and felt it was exactly the same as our current one, but even smaller, and just as drab, albeit overlooking the pool - which wasn't that great anyway. We were somewhat annoyed that they didn't take our concerns into consideration, seeing that the rooms were bad, the bed - terrible - and the overall service, extremely poor. We offered, as a gesture, to instead UPGRADE to a villa, and pay some of the difference. They said it was 3x as much as our current room and we suggested 2x. They rejected, which I felt was ridiculous as they not only did not describe the room properly on hotels.com, with photoshopped pictures of the rooms and grounds, with rude and unhelpful staff, our offer to pay extra, when we didn't feel welcome already, was fair. The manager was supposed to come and speak with us - we waited an hour - nothing - 2 hours - nothing - and in the end, we simply felt they did not deserve our money. Management NEVER spoke with us, just receptionists - which was poor on their part. With little English, they did not care to help us. We DO NOT think people should stay here, especially after seeing other people's reviews. Poor service, terrible rooms, unclean areas, beds which are not suitable for dogs and an overall bad taste left in our mouths, means that the living pool villas - do not live up to the name. 2 villas, with 'deluxe' rooms, not even being deluxe in any shape or form, means we moved and left this hotel. They declined to return our money, minus the 1 night we stayed, and so I would say for others to stay away from this hotel - there are nicer people that deserve your money, with ACTUAL DELUXE room amenities. STAY AWAY.
