Well the staff are absolutely amazing, really made the holiday, location is a little far out of Chaweng but there’s always a Tuk Tuk, beds are a little on the hard side, breakfast there was a good choice of hot or cold food. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. If the beds were a little softer and 1 mile closer to chaweng tbh I wouldn’t fault it, but the staff made up for any shortcomings. Thank you to the team 🙏🏻

We spent three nights in an ocean front pool villa, and it was one of the best we have ever stayed in anywhere! The resort is a beautiful blend of charming Thai heritage with an open airy tropical modern sensibility. We especially loved the very private shaded courtyard that was the first space that welcomed us when entering our villa, which serves as a protected, amazing semi-enclosed indoor/outdoor sitting room, that for us opened to magnificent views of the bay and infinity pool within a couple of steps. With the sound of the water and the gentle breeze, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind, and we literally felt the big city stress from which we came literally melt away- so much so that we fell asleep on the giant beanbag loungers next to the pool the whole first night! Our rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with a lovely vaulted ceiling over the bed with amazing views both night and day of the bay, a large bathroom and giant soaking tub, and a separate comfortable living room/entertainment area (with a very large sofa possibly useable for children or as an extra guest space) also with bay views. The highlight for us though was the lovely bayside infinity pool- which was naturally slightly warm but cool and refreshing with the gentle breeze, and we spent hours swimming in it everyday. The resort's public areas were also lovely, immersing one in the views of the bay from the resort entrance, to the lobby, to the dining terrace where they serve the breakfast buffet (the pain au chocolat and green curry were quite nice), to the guest pool and sun lounge, etc, and the grounds and walking paths were adorned with lush tropical flowering plants and trees. The location was far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be peaceful for us which we prefer, yet close enough to walk along the beach for additional dining, recreation/entertainment, or conveniences; and of course the resort was happy to arrange additional transportation, tours, etc around the island/neighboring islands- with the GM, concierge, driver, maid, and even egg station cook being especially accomodating and very lovely. We truly valued our experience- The Sarann was everything we would have wanted from our tropical oceanfront pool villa stay!

This trip was planned through my travel agent as a special college graduation trip with my daughter, so we were really looking forward to a relaxing and memorable stay. Unfortunately, the experience did not come close to meeting expectations. When we arrived, the reception area felt flat and unwelcoming. It was also very hot with no noticeable air conditioning, which was not a great first impression after traveling. When we got to our room, the bed had been decorated for honeymooners. I was traveling with my daughter, so it felt awkward and completely inappropriate for the occasion. It also made it clear that the details of our stay had not been thoughtfully reviewed. The room itself felt run down, and the shower did not work properly. Maintenance came to look at it, but the issue was not fully resolved. The restaurant was underwhelming, the food was mediocre, and the overall atmosphere felt boring. When we asked for bottled water to be replenished in the room, we were told there would be an additional charge, which felt unreasonable given the level the hotel claims to represent. The gym was also disappointing. It was hot, dirty, and there were no towels or water available. The private pools did not feel clean, and the beach was rocky, which made it less enjoyable than expected. The location was also farther from activities than we realized, which made the overall value even harder to justify. This property claims to be 4.5 stars, but based on our experience, I would rate it closer to a 3-star hotel at best. For a special mother-daughter graduation trip, this stay was disappointing. I would not return and would not recommend it for travelers looking for a true upscale resort experience.
