Mali Samui Resort

I stayed here for 10 days and really enjoyed the resort. The bed was very comfortable, the room size was good. The shower room had an open air area which was great to shower under the sky. The manager was very helpful and even took me to look for a taxi when I could not order one online! Ideally you should have transport for this resort as it's a few km away from town. The surroundings are beautiful, like being in a jungle and there is a swimming pool also.

We had booked 1 big room apartment (house) from here, but they had changed it to 2 small bungalows without informing us. Bungalows were small and ok clean, but the bathroom/shower combination was outside, what was too much for us. If we would have known this it would have been ok, but now we did not get what we ordered. We wanted to get our big house, but it was already booked from us. So we decided to leave this place to another hotel. Owner of the place called us her friend to taxi us to a new hotel, which was a nice gesture, but the price was 600bht for only few kilometers so it was overpriced. We should have called our own taxi to get it cheaper. Anyways, staff seemed like nice people and if you want to spend your holiday in a quiet place far away from everything and enjoy being close with the nature this could be your place. I hope the owner will learn from her mistakes and won't overbook rooms next time :)

Nice and quiet location with lots of surrounding nature. A nice big terras where you can enjoy the sound of the frogs. Very friendly and helpful staff (a Thai couple) who will do whatever they can to help you. When our cooker didn't seem to work they brought us another one. The house itself was nicely decorated, the bed was comfy. It is a bit far from the towncenter and from the shops but when you walk to the mainstreet (10 min. walk) it isn't hard to take a songthaew or you can rent a motorbike (200bath/day). We really had a home-feeling in this place. A pity that there wasn't a lot to do at the bar because it seemed a nice enough place to hang around at night. Maybe the weather had something to do with it
