We stayed at the Phant hotel during MotoGP weekend since all hotels in Buriram were fully booked. The hotel location is good, not far from city center. The room was clean and spacious with large ensuite bathroom. We had a very comfortable stay for 2 nights. The support from the staff was excellent. We realized that we left 2 rings in the room due to the rush and called the hotel right away on Sunday evening. On Monday morning, the staff called back and send us the photos to confirm that they’ve found our rings. They also send them back to Bangkok for us. We totally recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Phant Hotel is just on the outskirts of Surin, close to Robinsons shopping Mall. Great choice of hotel, excellent rooms and well appointed, immaculate condition with very good shower room. Bed very comfortable. Hotel offers it's own shuttle taxi to take you into town for the Elephant Festival, and with a quick phone call, is there to bring you back. Lovely family run business, very friendly and efficient, good price to boot!

Check in firstly was very unprofessional, the receptionist shoved the key in our hands not explaining to us where we should find the room, no one offered to help us with our luggage so we just wondered around until we eventually found our room. The room was basic, no English Channels, for wifi you need a receipt from reception(not very practical in my eyes) Cleanliness was average, the bathroom had a terrible smell of drain, as there is no ventilation, we did not even want to put the fan on as the drain smelled intensified. Breakfast was included, but not worth the effort to get up, you have to eat in the reception area and all there was, was coffee and toast and jam, so disappointing. On check out i asked the receptionist to call a tuk tukl for us and showed her the address and name of hotel in Thai. We ended up at the wrong hotel and it cost us more money because of that. So rather show the tuk tuk drivers the addresses yourself.
