When I pulled myself out of the hole in the walkway, one staff member came over to assist, although he applied very curious first aid, pouring a bit of water on my wounds, stroking them gently and blowing on them. They offered saline solution and wanted to know if I wanted to go to the hospital, for what it's worth. Naturally this infuriated me, and I freely admit that I berated the manager after. At this point she claimed that she had said no such thing. The resolution of this was that she claimed she couldn't contact the owner, and if we wanted to do anything about it we should go to the police. This should go without saying, but this is absolutely inexcusable in the hospitality industry. Do NOT support them with your business. Oh yeah, and each of our rooms were silly with termites. You could actually hear them crawling in the walls, and a few pokes showed that a lot of the wooden boards of the wall are absolutely ruined. I would expect that many of the cottages are set to be abandoned or demolished within the next couple of years. Good riddance.
