The best hotel ! The staff are out of this world ! Choki the main entertainment man is fabulous, the food is amazing , the hotel is lovely . Every single staff member are just fantastic- Brahim , Ahmed, Mohammed Ali, Bilel , Hassim , souzi , fatty, they are just great Thank you for always treating us so well when we come through the year . Thank you !

I've just returned from a week's stay with my husband and we had an amazing holiday!! We had one of the newly refurbished rooms which looked lovely, there was still work being completed on another floor which caused a little disruption and we could really smell the chemicals which wasn't great. Other than that, our only issue with the room was the shower, it had little to no pressure if you wanted even slightly warm water which meant we had to take cold showers all week. The food was delicious at breakfast, lunch & dinner and the selection was great. We didn't have any issues with the food. The staff were amazing, with a special shout out to Abdessalem & Hassain who work in the pool bar. They really went above and beyond to make our holiday an exceptional experience. They worked their butts off from first thing until well into the evening and always had a smile on their face. My husband & I are lucky enough to go to Cancun often and they made us feel like we were in the Caribbean. My only issue with the staff was seeing management (one particular manager although I didn't catch his name) treat their staff with disrespect. I seen this manager on numerous occasions being rude to staff and reprimanding them in public. One morning, my husband & I were in the pool waiting patiently for the bar to open and if it wasn't yet 10am, it could only have been 30-60 seconds beforehand. Abdessalem served us our first drinks of the day, the manager must have seen this on the camera and came out and started shouting at him in full view of us and dragged him away. I was DISGUSTED to see this gentlemen to be treated in such a way when he was only providing us with an excellent service and I was 99% sure it was already 10am. We didn't go into the pool until 9:57 and we had been in the pool for a number of minutes before he handed us our drink. THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN SEEING EXCELLENT STAFF BEING TREATLY POORLY BY A MANAGER WHO STANDS ABOUT AND BARKS ORDERS!! All of the common areas, toilets etc were perfectly clean, much better than the other hotels we've stayed in the country previously. All in all, we had a fabulous stay and the hotel is exceptional particularly for the area and is great value for money. We'll be booking to go back next summer very shortly.

This hotel shouldn’t really be much more than a 3 star. I think the 4/5 star reviews come down to what you expect from a hotel or haven’t experienced truely good ones. We came here for a bit of a cheap and cheerful holiday and that’s what we got. I have been to Iberostars all over the world, This one by far the worst and doesn’t really match up at all to the ones in say Mexico or Dominican. The rooms are pretty poor, I know there are some that have been renovated but ours wasn’t and it wasn’t great. The aircon barely works. It’s very dated, pretty much everything was broken like the balcony door and the fridge, as well as the air con controls. The shower was decent. They don’t put any water in your room, kind of a basic… very poor, there was so many times we came back to the room after a day out or at the beach and we came back to no water in the room! It’s a 5 min walk to the nearest bar from our room! We ended up every night having to go and get a bottle from the lobby bar. When we arrived there was no loo roll or towels. It was quickly sorted, but very much set the tone. The maid kept the room clean to be fair! The hotel grounds are pretty nice and well maintained. The pool although busy was really nice with a decent swim up bar and a great jacuzzi and lay down in pool jet loungers. The beach is a win! It’s beautiful, the sand is really nice and there are plenty of sun loungers which were pretty comfy, Mohammed Ali was great! He’s one of the lifeguards but generally great guy! The beach is clean and so was the water! Really nice! Just a warning the sand is like molten lava! I know Mohammed did water the sand one day which made a huge difference! Food and drink… food, was ok, well cooked and usually pretty hot. Zero issues with it, just got completely bored with the same stuff. Only the puddings changed, and they were OK. The drinks, absolutely terrible! Cocktails were an abomination! My wife couldn’t finish a single one, I just stuck to the beer, which was acceptable. Entertainment was poor, they tried, but we avoided it, just tailored towards families, which is fine but us grown ups would have liked something interesting to watch, not just a disco or karaoke! Wasn’t massively cheap this holiday, just cheaper than going to the carribean! A lot of people return here, each to their own, would I say to people not to come? No, not at all! It’s good enough, just about scrapes into that category. Would I come back. No. However, what I will say, the staff… brilliant! It’s a crumbling hotel and they are keeping it up! The clientele… think shameless…
