Caretta Beach Hotel

The hotel is 13 km away. Our room had windows overlooking the adjacent hotel and the sea. AVIOD!! I never write reviews and I have been on over 15+ holidays. This was probably the worse holiday I have ever been on. Started with getting our room key heading to our room, something told me to check the mattress which I never normally do but because the room was not clean to a good standard I had to check. I then noticed bugs in the corners of the mattress. I went down to reception and they didn’t even blink an eye but just gave me another room. Lucky this room was better. We woke up excited to go downstairs to the pool and meet people as I had my 11 year old son with me. NO ONE SPOKE ANY ENGLISH. Polish or Russian was all we heard. The rudeness we had to deal with was awful! Pushing into que’s for the slides, bar and restaurants. The staff all saw this but did not say anything. The worst part that truly hurt me and my son was the whole entertainment was not spoke in one bit of English so we had no idea what was happening or what was said. We done a prize raffle ticket game and my son won! He was so happy! He went on the stage to get his prize and the gentleman asked was country he was from. He said the UK England, once he got his prize no one clapped for him except for me my heart broke for him. All the other winners from Poland or Russia all got very loud claps and a few even looked our way while they was clapping for there own people. I am so happy we only went on a short 4 day holiday as if this was longer I would have looked for somewhere else to stay. The food was awful the only thing we ate was the pancakes in the morning and chips. If you are English avoid this hotel like the plague. No one was happy it was so miserable in there. The reception staff spoke to English so was not helpful explaining the WIFI did not work and I would like my money back. Oh no I did not receive that as I was then called a liar because everyone else’s was working. There are not enough sun loungers for everyone, you literally have to sit on chairs and wait. There sliders are only on for 3 hours a day. An OMG the beach was all stoned, I have hurt my feet quite bad, there is no sand and the sea looks dirty. We went to the aqua park and sqad bikes and let’s just say that was the only fun we had and that was because we was out of the hotel. My rant is now over and I hope I have helped you from wasting your hard earned money. This has put me off going to Turkey ever again.

June 29th, we are still staying at the hotel. Can a hotel be perfect in every way? Believe me, it can. All the staff are so good, so friendly, they are all wonderful people. The managers are attentive and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the food is excellent. This is our third year here, and we're so glad we found this place. I especially want to thank the lady working at the bar and all the other staff who worked hard and helped us. I love you Carette Relax.
