My experience at the Kandelor Hotel was truly a shock. I’ve never seen such insulting, annoying, and disturbing behavior on my numerous trips over the years. The aggressiveness, rudeness, and disrespect that cook Sinan Ace showed were so extreme that it made the impression that he was trying to create a conscious pressure on guests. He yelled at me and my wife — with a hard, humble, and almost hostile tone. I was deeply stunned as a man, especially when I witnessed a hotel employee treating a female guest like this. For me, the behavior of this person went far beyond a simple lack of professionalism. The tone of voice, the outlook, the way of speech — all created an unstable, offensive, and frustrating approach. We felt not only uncomfortable, but humiliated, under pressure, and, obviously, anxious. It was a moment for me when my wife took away the plate and the limit of acceptance was completely exceeded. People come here for tranquility—it’s the opposite. As someone traveling to Turkey for many years, I can tell you: It was the first time I had an attitude like this. Normal, courtesy and professionalism were too outstanding and too disturbing to leave a heavy mark. In my personal opinion, someone who despises guests, showcases aggressive attitudes, and can’t control themselves is in a position that requires one-on-one communication with people. I sincerely hope that hotel management will take this seriously. Because they’re not only ruining the holidays — they’re also damaging the hotel’s credibility and peaceful ambiance. After all this experience, I would absolutely not recommend this hotel.
