MERLIN BEACH HOTEL

Following a friends recommendation we arrived at the hotel. Nice decore and grounds. Friendly and attentive staff. Food was usual resort fare, but nice. Relatively close proximity to the excellent Patong Beach and to the tourist hubs of Patong. Would recommend to family and friends.

More like a homeless hostel! In a bad state of repair and not attractive at all. Wanted to cry when we arrived. They didnt even have our room available when we arrived. Pool looked badly maintained with large hole in surrounding area covered by a wooden crate! Dining area very poor and not clean and food not at all appetising! Didnt even see our room as after a really long wait in the shabby reception area, we were moved to sister hotel. Dont book a holiday in this hotel or you will be disappointed.

For the first point of view, pretty nice, but you can´t look under the lid. Pretty good cleaned rooms with equal size were only one thing can be highlited. The rest is real horror. All food is prepared in another hotel and bringed to MBH. Food is offered repeatedly (lunch food for the dinner, dinner for the lunch). Electricity collapses causes failing lift, clima units are on daily basis for hours. Fails of water supplies are also more than often. Stuff is rude, no other language speaking. Only one extremely arogant and lazy animator which only work was to play 10 song of Turkish po so loudly that you cannor hear your neighbour. Pool with dirty green water, non working tobogan. Stay away from this hotel as it definitely doesn´t worth even one star
