Zeybek 1

Came all the way from Australia and had sent emails and made prior reservations and then made more phone calls to confirm. On arrival we were sent across the road to another pension because our room was 'overbooked'. We were asked to wait till another room was vacated. Met 2 other travellers given same story. So we left and found another place down the road. considering how far we had come and that we had checked with them more than once that our booking was held, this is unacceptable. And the place we found was a little dearer, but much cleaner and well presented.

This family guesthouse will make you to get away from the chaotic city life. It's run by Huseyin and his family (mother and wife) with their special care to their guests. Rooms are perfectly clean and specious with all private facilities including fridge and air-condition. Breakfast is brought from their garden to your table.. Fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, olives and extra virgin olive oil... eggs from coop and homemade orange jam. we had the tastiest fresh potatoes which was fried in the olive oil. ohhh yummy! Location is also very convenient to reach Patara ancient city and Patara beach (2nd longest sandy beach in Europe.

We stayed here for a week in August 2017 and loved it. It is super clean and comfortable and the family who run it are very friendly and go the extra mile to make their guests welcome. Our room had an en suite bathroom with shower, air conditioning, kettle and fridge, plus a balcony where we could sit to enjoy the view before heading out for the evening. Breakfast is included and is fresh and delicious. The swimming pool provides welcome relief from the hot sun and a relaxing place to sit under an umbrella and snooze the day away. A safe is provided free of charge to leave valuables and the family is happy to do your laundry for a small charge. There is a beautiful beach a short drive away and many ancient ruins to visit. I would highly recommend a stay at Zeybek 1.
