Aura Resort

I initially booked a family holiday for 5 nights from UK. Ended up cancelling 3 nights and only stayed for 2 nights. There were issues unresolved and we were just not used to this sort of experience. Firstly, the photos are a misrepresentation of the hotel or service. All inclusive with little variety, calling it a resort is a slap in the face where I come from. Beat to be open and honest about expectations. Water pressure is poor and we had to shower with lukewarm water. WiFi is paid for. Staff start ushering you out of the dining area as soon as the meal time clocks 10am or 2pm. Whatever time meal ends. Despite their attempts to be welcoming, accommodating and friendly. I think they need a more intensive course in hotel management and tourism for international crowd. Whoever books this, best not to expect too much. My children were shocked.

The room and pool are nice, but the food is terrible. There are only four main courses; two are rice or pasta, and the others are either meat stir-fry or chicken in sauce. There are no potato patties or grilled options for the children. We sometimes don't even eat them; even the eggplant meatballs are made with low-quality, pre-made meatballs. I hope they improve.

A nice, clean hotel. Very nice, helpful hotel staff. Good food, plenty of shopping options. Beach available, amenities and location not as nice, but the water and beach are ultimately the same as at the more expensive hotels on either side 😊 I reached my vacation goal of peace, as I was the only German tourist, which suited me very well. A friendly and very good atmosphere with all guests and staff. Daniela
