My review of Wiking Express Hotel My expectation was not for luxury or an extravagant service, but simply for basic cleanliness, hygiene, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, during my stay, I encountered serious shortcomings in terms of cleanliness. There was a significant amount of dust and various types of rubbish under the bed and the bed base, which gave the impression that the area had not been properly cleaned for some time. It was also clear that the floor had not been mopped properly. Unfortunately, the food was also well below my expectations. Rather than offering a large variety of dishes, I would prefer a smaller selection of genuinely good-quality food that is properly prepared and enjoyable to eat. The desserts were also disappointing. Even the way the fruit was presented seemed careless; in particular, the watermelons were cut very thickly and served with large pieces of rind, which was another small but noticeable example of the lack of attention to detail. I am not expecting an excessive variety of food or unnecessary waste from a hotel. For me, two or three good-quality dishes, a clean room, and proper hygiene are much more valuable than dozens of mediocre options. Overall, I believe the hotel needs to pay more attention to the basic standards of cleanliness, food quality, and service. Guests do not necessarily expect a huge variety; they expect cleanliness, quality, hygiene, and a service that takes their comfort seriously.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. THIS HOTEL IS A COMPLETE DISASTER. We travel a lot, practically every month, and have visited many parts of the world. We have been to Turkey 7 times, so we have plenty of experience and something to compare it with. We are not people who complain about every little thing. Unfortunately, Viking Express Hotel is by far one of the worst experiences we have ever had. The room was neglected and dirty, and there was mould and fungus in the bathroom. The cleaning was very poor. What is even more unacceptable is that the staff moved personal belongings that belonged to the guests. This is completely inappropriate. The beds are uncomfortable, with old, worn-out, sagging mattresses. You wake up feeling battered, with back and neck pain. The food was terrible. Tasteless, repetitive, boring and very poor quality. After a few days, you are simply fed up with eating the same thing over and over again. The hotel is clearly aimed at Russian-speaking tourists. The staff mainly speak Russian. Communication in English is extremely difficult – in many situations they simply do not understand even basic questions. This becomes particularly frustrating when you have a problem or need information from the hotel. There is no air conditioning in the corridors or common areas. In the Turkish heat, this is unacceptable. You leave your room and instead of getting some relief, you walk straight into a hot and stuffy corridor. Another thing I find completely unacceptable: cats and cat hair everywhere. Cats walk around the entire hotel area and sit on tables and in places where guests eat. Their hair is everywhere. This has absolutely nothing to do with proper hygiene or hotel standards. The beach is also presented much better than it actually is. It is around 2–2.5 km from the hotel, approximately a 20-minute walk. The hotel shuttle runs very infrequently – around 4 times a day to the beach and only 3 times back. You have to carefully plan your day around the shuttle schedule, otherwise you are left with a long walk. The beach itself is pebbly, and the sun loungers are packed together like sardines. There is absolutely no feeling of comfort or privacy. Beach towels have to be purchased by the guests. There was also a ridiculous situation regarding drinking water. We were told that water at the beach was free. On the first day it actually was free. Afterwards, the staff suddenly started claiming that it was paid. So first we were told one thing, and then the story changed. This kind of treatment is simply dishonest. Unfortunately, there were more situations like this. You constantly get the feeling that the hotel is trying to get something out of the customer or take advantage of tourists. Instead of proper service and respect for guests, there is constant confusion, contradictory information and a feeling that tourists can simply be taken advantage of. The overall standard of this hotel is cheap, shabby and stuck in another era. The appearance, cleanliness, service and attitude towards guests are far below what anyone should reasonably expect from a hotel in Turkey. And let me make one thing clear – we are not expecting luxury. We travel all over the world, we know different standards and we can appreciate a simple local hotel. But basic things such as cleanliness, hygiene, honest information, respect for guests, proper communication and decent food should be a given. We have been to Turkey 7 times and have had truly wonderful experiences here. We love this country and always enjoy coming back. Viking Express Hotel, however, is the complete opposite of everything good we have experienced in Turkey. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. If I had to choose again, I would not stay here even for free.

We vacationed with our daughter from June 3 to 10. The hotel loved it! The staff- at the reception, at the bar, the waiters, the maids, all working great! You can feel the manager's steady hand and control. There is a hotel shuttle to the sea, you can walk for 20 minutes. The sea, which is why they came first, is magical. Clean, quiet in the morning until there are boats. The beach is pebbly. Sun loungers with mattresses. There is a fee for the beach bar unless you are from Viking 5*. Stock up on vodka at the hotel. The food is good. Chicken, beef, salads. Fruits include watermelon, peaches, apricots, oranges, grapefruit. There were fish twice in a week. Monday-Turkish night: belly dancing and live music. A* lovers might not like it. To me, the price-quality ratio is Super!!! Hotel recommended!!!
