The Altinkum is a small very family hotel located in a beautiful garden in a direct beach location.
A bungalow complex from which you can reach the ancient old town of Side in 7 minutes on foot.
In the immediate vicinity you will find numerous restaurants and shops.
The rooms are functionally furnished and all have a small terrace.
The staff is very nice, polite and friendly.
As in all hotels, there are also numerous regulars who are available to help and advise new guests.
Many meet again every year at Altinkum.
The food is tasty and there is something for everyone.
All meals have sea views and dinner takes place with a view of the most beautiful sunsets.

The only good thing about this “hotel” is the location and staff. The bungalows are comparable to residential homes in German campsites (Lower category ) All pictures available on the net were probably taken years ago. There is no entertainment at the place (1x weekly comes a belly dancer and 1x a DJ - which was cancelled with us, however, without prior notice) It is where it is, at first you wonder about the cheap price and then on site all fears are confirmed. The food is very monotonous, there is turkey and chicken or chicken and turkey. In the 10 days there were 2x fish and 1x beef tongue and liver as an alternative. But it also fits the price performance concept here.

We didn't like it from day one. The room, or rather the cabin, was nice from the outside and not far from the reception. Inside the cabin, room and toilet with shower. The door in the toilet does not close, it has been pericoched, the wall tiles are missing in places at all. The bathroom floor isn't even either. The food was repeated every day, the same thing. If there is food left, the next day it is made into pancakes or added to meat or potatoes or an egg. The agency told us it was all inclusive, but it turned out to be wrong, Iran and beer are only served from 10:30 to 22:00, after 22:00 everything is paid and even coffee, if you want coffee, pay 2€. Cocktails are all paid for. The room was not cleaned well, the towels were not changed, although we left 1€ every day. The sea was near, but there was no beach. Umbrellas were standing, and sun loungers were swimming out to sea, workers were catching them from the sea. Pool chairs were always busy with a towel by 5 a.m. All the people are eating outside under umbrellas, and at 4:00 a waiter would come and close the umbrellas because that's what the chief said, the campers were outraged, but nobody would even react to the people's outrage. On the last day of departure, we were told you could shower in the massage parlour and wait for the bus. We showered and wiped with towels soaked in oil from the massage, we were not dried, only oiled. The adventure doesn't stop there, the bus driver took us to the airport for Terminal N1 and we needed Terminal N2. We showed our tickets, he forced us out because he knows better than us. We had to take a taxi to Terminal N2, which is 2km from Terminal N1.
