Gokkusagi Hotel

Stayed here three times previously so thought I would have another “budget” stay for two weeks. A new pool had been added and also fridges in the rooms 😀... that’s the good news!! On arrival at midnight I put the card in to turn the electric on and couldn’t sleep because of the constant buzzing noise and the shower room was disgusting 😡. The morning brought a surprisingly good breakfast and I changed rooms so all was now well..... two days later the hot water went off and as guests checked out the breakfast was almost non existent!!! Hot water came on for one hour on day four and didn’t come back on again, I complained to no avail and decided, with the other guests, that I had to move somewhere else, this was on day six and I’d paid for 14, refund??? No chance, the only thing I got from this hotel was flea bites from the room because they still have horrible dirty carpets and I never heard a vacuum cleaner all the time I was there.... I actually couldn’t ever imagine writing a bad review for a budget hotel because “ you get what you pay for” , the Gokkusagi (now rebranded club Gokkusagi) certainly isn’t worth ANY money especially since they rent the lower floor to a “working girls” business which the police were called to 3 nights out of the six I was there!!!

really enjoyed this hotel got on really well with the staff good group of people told us where to go to eat and shared a few good laughs with them. right next to the beach the rooms are basic but clean and as for breakfast I enjoyed the tea as I took my own teabags. The best place I found to eat was the very friendly friends bar and also linekers next door to hotel

Came here with my boyfriend for a 2 week holiday, photos are misleading on booking.com and I will not be returning. Pool is small and dirty, wifi doesn't work, safety deposit boxes are like lockers at the entrance so anyone can see how much money you are taking in and out, not much English spoken. Room- double bed was 2 singles pushed together, lights above bed didn't even have light bulbs, one day our room had no running water. No fridge& they don't like you taking water and snacks up to your room so had to sneak water up to brush our teeth with. Tv didn't work. On arrival there was someone else's shower gel still left there in the shower also shower head kept popping off. Was a rip in my boyfriends side bedsheets (pictures attatched) Rooms are very old fashioned and we had a broken radio on ours Only one plug socket. Hot water was on and off VIEW- pictures attatched showing the view of a car park/building site Pros- good aircon, shower was good power, location was good to get to things(good because we wanted to spend as much time out of the awful place as possible) Really disappointing considering photos on booking.com looked great
