With my twin sister in September 2008 Been to this simple apartment. Overdue maintenance in the Akdas apartment. Gamel kitchen with a 2 burner hob. And you must like going out. Because there is loud music in those bars. And a singer song then a Roy Oberson song. We came home tired.

Back yesterday, do not believe photos on internet, (we understand now why we couldn't find any reviews ourselves) Entry/reception clean and inviting Stayed in Room 315 - missing room number, but skillfully replaced by biro scrawl on door! Kitchen area - installed some years ago - plenty of evidence of shoddy repair after leaks, unit doors 'blown' and damp smell Two electric burners, Coffee pot, Utensils, pots etc clean and servicable (sets for four people) Glasswear somewhat lacking - just one tumbler and 4 small wine glasses Living area contains two chairs, stained - two bed settees, one broken (both dirty and stained) and extremely uncomfortable Bedroom - twin beds - couldn't work out why they looked odd until we lifted the valence and found that some casters were missing from each bed -kids rocked themselves to sleep each night! one of the mattresses was torn with the stuffing and springs proudly on show Bathroom door off hinge, mould on ceiling, walls and shower, odour that comes up through toilet/shower and basin absolutely disgusting - we put wet towells over the drains - it helped toiletries/toilet roll not supplied Hotel advertises 8am - 9pm swimming pool - they open about 9:30am if you send the kids to nag them and close at 6/7, you cannot take any food or drink to the pool, despite the Apartments being self catering! They charge quite highly for drinks and food, water for instance will cost you .67 ytl in the supermarket next door, you will pay either 3 or 4 lira depending on who mans the pool bar! Charged one euro for a sunbed cushion (we have stayed in plenty of apartments throughout Europe and other areas of Turkey and have never come across this before) The pool depth is advertised as 1.8m (in fact 1.9 and no shallow end for children) On the plus side pool is clean and there are plenty of loungers 'Rooms' are 'cleaned' daily (ie bin is emptied daily - brooms/dusters were not used) On moving the furniture it was clear that the room hadn't been cleaned all season, hair, dust, dirt, old magazines and postcards were all at the side of or under the furniture Can't use the balcony if air conditioning is being used - Unit sits on balcony facing in and fan blasts away (extremely noisy and uncomfortable) Towels/sheets changed every three days Air conditioning will set you back 5 euros per night and the safe costs 20 euros per week Our complaints at the time: Air conditioning not working properly - we gave up in the end Bathroom condition - shrug of shoulders! Sewage smells coming from bathroom drains On checking out we were told that our complaints should have been addressed to the ever absent manager! - Staffs answer to any complaints were, 'not our hotel' Good luck if you stay here!
