A 3-star hotel situated in strategic location just meters away from Ulu Camii, within very short walking distance of "çarşıler" and "hanlar", 30 minutes walking from Muradiye Kulliyesi, and easy public transportation to go everywhere in Bursa include to Telefrik. The hotel has certificate of safe tourism and clean. Basic Turkish breakfast served in plate, friendly staff especially Orhan Bey. In the reception there is a mini coffee shop with superb filter coffee (better than Starbucks!). Many kebap and iskender restaurants around but for vegetarian like me, just one block away there is Şehir Lokantası with vegetarian options. The only cons is the single room has neighbor's wall view.

Arctic Hotel is located in central historic Bursa, across from the Great Mosque on the corner of Cemal Nadir Cd. and Maksim Cd. I greatly enjoyed being able to walk to many popular sights, and public buses and trams were nearby. My room had twin beds, bathroom (shower, toilet and sink), a small refridge, closet, and desk. The beds were comfortable. Internet access was somewhat erratic. I was worried that its downtown location would be noisy, but streets were fairly quiet after dark. The breakfast bar was expansive: eggs, bread, pastries, cheese, juice, cold cereals, olives, salad, tea and coffee.

I consider Butda to be a mini Istanbul with water views replaced by mountains. Right across the road from the main Great Mosque. The hotel has a feeling of faded glory, could do with some maintenance work in the bathroom otherwise it is a standard city hotel. Go shopping, take the cable car to the mountain national park, eat the famous Iskender kebab.
