Chef Apartment

we arrived at 10pm, no problem with late check in. we booked for deluxe apartment, 1 bathroom,1 bedroom and sofa bed at the living hall. our apartment located on the 2nd level, and the room was exactly looked as in the picture. wifi connection is ok, kitchen utensils were provided. Aircond is only installed at the living hall, therefore you need to keep the bedroom door open to let the cool air flow to the room. No fan in the room. The location is close to Tophane tram station. It is a very steep hill walk to istiklal street (we decided not to walk up, we used tram). In front of the apartment is a small market where you can buy drinks and snacks, and next to the apartment is a shop where we bought and top up our istanbulkart. Overall it was good for us

We stayed on the first floor room 3. The room is a good size with a separate bathroom and bedroom. The room has dated from the pictures shown on the website, however, they were clean and the lady on reception was very helpful. The reception area smells of cigarette smoke and unfortunately this smell carries up the winding staircase and into our room. There are a few areas that need attention to make this room more desirable. Stop smoking in the reception area. Ensure the bedcovers are the same size of the bed, they are currently much smaller. Replace the mirror in the bathroom it has tape all around the sides. The tap is loose and wobbles in the sink. The kitchen splash back needs replacing as it is smashed, the bench top has a burn marks in it, the furniture needs to be updated and most importantly the windows should have at least double glazing. Currently you hear all the street noise which goes on until around midnight, and at 4.30am you are then woken by the sounds which come out of the mosque speakers. The location of these apartments are ideal, just 5 minutes down the hill to the hop on hop off bus stop and a beautiful cafe Fallen Galato where you can enjoy warm hospitality and great food. The road is to steep to walk up to the shopping district but the hop on hop of bus can drop you at the shopping square. These apartments have the potential to be something great, but the owner needs to put more love into making this happen. We were booked for 3 nights, after 2 we checked out and went elsewhere. D & R. The rooms have nothing to do with the photos : much smaller, not clean, and not comfortable. strong smell of cigarette smoke in the rooms and the hotel. We didn't sleep well because of the light in the room (no black-out curtain) Rude staff. The location was the only think OK
