L 1 HOTEL ISTANBUL

They are not five stars given because it is a luxury hotel but to enhance an accommodation in the center of Istanbul that fully corresponded to our expectations. First of all, the location, more central than so difficult to imagine, very close to Hagia Sophia, the Topkapi, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, a few minutes from the Spice Bazaar and the Grand Bazaar, and then convenient to reach the means by which to move easily throughout the city thanks to the efficient transport network. The rooms are really small but with comfortable and clean beds, the bathroom comfortable and shower with hot water, and daily towel change. Breakfast well stocked on both sweet (some complain the lack of croissants more than compensated by a variety of other sweets and cakes) and savory (again plenty of choice). Unfortunately the breakfast room is small and at times can cause confusion. Young staff and room attendant very nice and cooperative. Very good value for money. In short, highly recommended for visiting Istanbul.

The hotel is well located – all the main sights are nearby, which is very convenient for walking and excursions. Breakfasts are small, but there's always plenty to choose from, you can't stay hungry. Rooms are clean, cleaning is done daily, towels are changed every day, bed linen is about once every three days. It is pleasant and creates a comfortable living environment. I want to mention the staff separately: the reception is staffed by Russian-speaking employees, very polite and sympathetic guys. We especially thank Inga - she is always ready to help, will tell you which excursions to choose, what to see and how to get more conveniently. It was also nice that good Russian music plays at breakfast - it adds coziness. In general, all staff are very friendly, smiley and always available to help. We strongly recommend this hotel!
