Lush Houses Galata

There are no staff onsite, you are given a code for the front door to the building and a code to the door of the apartment. But the apartment was amazing - It was massive! Very nicely decorated and a kitchen with Washing machine, tumble dryer, cooker, fridge etc etc, all brand new. The apartment is 2 minute walk from Galata Tower, 5 minute walk from Istiklal Street and 5 minutes from the tram. We spent a week touring all over Istanbul and we did not find a better area to stay. The bars and restaurants of Istiklal were not far and it was nice to walk around this area in the evening with all the shops which were open until late. Highly recommended! But if your flight is a lot later than check out, I would confirm arrangements about luggage with the owner before booking, but we had great communication with him and we didn't want for anything. Also, it is a bit hilly around this area if you don't like walking, but we totally enjoyed it and so did my fit 71 year old mother!

We planned our trip for a while and lush house seamed the best place to stay. The system they use is a bit complicated at first. You pay online they give you a code you use the code to go inside the apartment. there is no keys. The downside is that when you want to check out and your flight is in the afternoon, you don't have any place to keep your luggage for the last few hours. We took the garden room which is underground, we didn't have a great night because you can hear everything from the road. Apart from that the fact of having an apartment is very convenient. it's big and very well located.
