Maya Hotel

You don’t have to look very far to find parts of your hotel room that have never been cleaned ever. There were hairs in the sink on arrival and the vent in the bathroom is caked in dirt. A good a bit of noise in the evenings from nearby bars and restaurants. Curtains aren’t quite wide enough to fit the window. Lots of other areas are desperately lacking a clean and a bit of TLC. When I took the mini-fridge plug out the whole socket came with it. Walls are paper thin, you can hear guests in other rooms talking and can hear every time they flush the toilet or turn on a tap. The only saving grace is there weren’t many other guests. Staff on reception aren’t that friendly, they ignore you every time you come in and out Location is good, 5 min walk to veznicler metro and 5 min walk to T1 tram stop laleli university, 15 min walk from Yenkapi. Breakfast was also decent. It was fine to stay at, you get what you pay for. I probably wouldn’t stay again

Hotel Maya is in a fantastic location to explore Istanbul, especially the Sultanahmet monuments. The staff is super friendly and the reception is open 24 hours, which was perfect after a long trip! The room, however, needed attention. When I arrived, I found chocolate on the floor and the bathroom was not spotless. In nine days, the glass was never washed or changed. Sometimes the bed wasn't made right, and I had to fix it. There were not always clean towels and, on one occasion, I did not even have toilet paper. Once I was given an open bottle of shampoo, probably used by another guest.bBreakfast was good and plentiful, but for those who are lactose intolerant like me, the options were a bit limited.Generally, I had a nice stay and could return. I recommend the hotel, but hope they improve the Cleaning Service!

To flee a manager who better go to work everywhere except with humans so he understands nothing. Frankly at this price in Turkey a hundred times better! A room service announce but only with your feet! And the quality of service is limiting a hidden camera so heartbreaking
