Taksim Star

The reception from Mr. Aybek was excellent. We had a problem with our room, and he resolved it quickly. He was very kind, cheerful, and always smiling. The breakfast was varied, and the hotel is close to Taksim Square and all the shops. I thank Mr. Aybek, the receptionist, once again.

Pretty much in need of renovation, water in the toilet no longer runs after a short use, telephone does not work ie you can not reach the reception.Room ice cold totally cooled, heating does not run. Room temperature was 15 degrees, air conditioning had to be “unlocked” first again via reception (stairs down ie phone did not go) because it was centrally regulated and controlled so that the temperature only went up to about 17 degrees, hardly slept from cold, staff totally uninvolved, in the bathroom it was not even ice cold, felt 12 degrees. Breakfast strange, also here staff unhelpful if you ask for basics like yogurt.

Everything was very bad, a very small hotel with a bad smell, a very small elevator for only 3 people, a family suite with a sea view that had no proper view of the sea at all, and two very small rooms with no clothes space, I wouldn't even recommend this hotel for free. Dirty hotel, uncomfortable and dirty beds, room was cleaned only twice during a week of stay
