Beylerbeyi Palace

location is very good, the room was ok. But I would not recommend this hotel for more than one night. Not for light sleepers as I am. The sound insulation is really a problem and the rooms may be little bit shaky even when people walk in the corridor and/or the stairs.

This hotel is a renovated old Istanbul house, rather well kept, clean, staffed by friendly personnel. For those who wonders what kind of living conditions were there at the end of the Ottoman Empire era are encouraged to try this premises but be ware of the fact that living comfort is not close to what we have nowadays.

The Beylerbeyi Palace is a boutique Hotel in a prime location on the Asian side of Istanbul. The hotel is very tastefully decorated. The famous Bosphorus Strait is just across the main road. You can see the Bosphorus Bridge once you cross the road. The hotel is well carpeted and is tastefully decorated in the style of a small palace with wall hangings, furniture and lamps matching the decor. The rooms size is decent, albeit a bit on the smaller side. However they are very neat and clean with good well maintained toilets. Free wifi is available though there is no room service. There are many good restaurants and shops just across the road. The breakfast spread is however minimal with just tomatoes, cucumber, cheese, butter, bread, jam etc. There is not even a toaster and also no fruits though there is fresh Turkish Tea available. There is barely any view from the room though.
