Karakoy Port Hotel - Boutique Class

Guys, the Karakoy port hotel is one of the beat hotels to stay in Istanbul. The beat part is its people. Thr manager Mr. Hakkan is such an amazing and generous person. He is super polite and extremely friendly. He is empathetic and takes extra care of his guests. The reason for this hotel being so awesome is because of Mr. Hakkan, the Manager of this hotel. Also Serbak, the night manager is so helpful, its amazing. The hotel staff including Ozin and the cooks Berna and Ayter of the restaurant are so nice and friendly it is just amazing. It speaks volumes about how good Turkish people are, simply amazing guys. Kudos to you. Now coming to the advantages of this hotel. 1. Excellent location just beside tram line 2. Istiklal street, Galata tower, Karakoy port, Takshim Square are awesome destinations just within walking distance of the hotel. 3. The tram line easily connects you to Sultan Ahmet area and Dolmabache palace 4. The airport is not very far from the hotel. 5. Rooms are nice and spacious. The washrooms are clean and tidy. 6. The breakfast is excellent with good choices for vegetarians and non vegetarians. 7. Also just beside the hotel, there is a wonderful lane of cafes. I have travelled more than 15 European countries and this hotel is one of the best, I have stayed at, Well done guys. Simply amazing job. Keep up the good work. We traveled to Istanbul and had checked into this hotel in the month of February 2020. It was our honeymoon trip. The good experience started to take shape right from the time of booking. A smart little email from Hakan (the Manager of this hotel) had popped up within a week from our booking (done online) sharing the requisite information like airport pickup options, nearest landmark to the hotel, tentative taxi / bus fares etc. Then at check in, you are offered a refreshing Turkish Tea. Hakan's entire team greets you with smile and are always eager to help. No doubt, that all the good words spoken about the hotel and the Manager, Hakan are absolutely correct. Kudos to his team as well. We had time and were not so tired, so Hakan guided us with the local tour plan right at the time of check in. We had not opted for any tour agency but had rather bought Istanbul Tourist Pass (will be reviewed separately) which was definitely a smart buy. Any time, we required any help and assistance, a call to Hakan was the only option that always came to our mind. He would gladly help and guide us. The breakfast at the rooftop restaurant was always something we looked forward to, everyday morning. The seagulls, the shining sun, refreshing tea/coffee all wished us a great day ahead. The room (no. 402) was clean, spacious and housekeeping was regular. The room had a great view of the Bosphorous which contributed a lot in making our Instanbul trip so memorable. We proceeded to Cappadocia after Istanbul, and Hakan also helped us in getting the balloon ride tickets. Location: The hotel is on the lane perpendicular to the Tophane Tram station adjacent to the Mosque. The lane looks little busy due to the construction work going on for Karakoy Port which presumably should be ready within May/June 2020. This lane also leads to Karakoy Police Station, Novotel Bosphorous and JW Marriott among others. There a also a supermarket at a gas station near to the Tophane Tram Station. One should definitely try the Baklava at Koskeroglu which is walking distance from the hotel. Then local food joints, bars are all at a walking distance. Going around: Four important recommendations - A freind and guide, Mr. Hakan + IstanbulKart + CityMapper (app) + Istabul Tourist Pass will make your world easy and memorable.

I’m just in love with the place and hotel which is so beautiful and comfortable and clean. The cherry on the cake was the staff-everyone was so helpful and friendly and made our stay very special. All in all, the Karakoy Port Hotel is the ideal choice if you ever visit istanbul.
