Sefa Hotel

Been here recently with my partner. Never experienced a filthier accommodation in my life. The bathroom didnt look like anything like the advertised pictures. Paint was chipping from the tiles, there were used pads in the trashcan, dirty, no water pressure and the doors were moldy. Couldnt even close them up properly. Had to ask for a toilet paper. Got promised a better room for a next night but they couldnt provide it there. Sent us to a different hotel and never compensated us. Worst stay, wouldnt recommend. The only good thing there is how close it is to the mosques but for the love of god please, if you dont like audience in your bathroom while trying to shower and avoiding mold, skip this place.

Klopovnik in the truest sense of the word and a place that is really dangerous to health! We chose this hotel because of the price and relatively good reviews (rating over 7 on Booking.com, at a low price). That the living conditions would be Spartan, it was expected, and it was not a surprise, but the surprise was just a wild number of bedbugs. We are on a long trip around the world, and in Istanbul we have booked this hotel more as a storage space for suitcases than actually spending time there. We checked into a hotel, paid for the accommodation and flew to Cappadocia for two nights immediately. The suitcases were left in the room (actually, that was the idea, 2 nights we are gone, 2 nights we will sleep somehow, and anyway, perceived as analogue to the hostel). When we got back from Cappadocia two days later late at night, we were tired and went to bed. The room itself we have no complaints (although there was a lot to pick on, the conditions are really spartan), but the bed is there, and it's good. We went into the room around midnight and went to bed, and in the morning we had big plans for the city. When I woke up, I saw a dead bug on the bed. And that the sheet is all blood drops. And then already - a lot of live bugs. As a result, I counted 18 bedbugs, only a part of them were killed. They got on our clothes, on our suitcases, everywhere, it was just horrible. I've never seen that in my life. The guy at reception we approached said we'd be moved to another hotel in their house, but in the meantime, we need to clear out the room because other people need to move in. We showed him live bugs, filmed him in front of him, which he said they never had them and nobody complained about. He also expressed the idea that we brought them ourselves (yeah, we came from a high-level hotel with a better rating and an impeccable reputation and "brought" a whole bunch of bedbugs from there, funny to say the least). We were moved to another hotel owned by the same company for one night. There were no bedbugs, and thanks for that. To say that we are bitten by bedbugs is nothing to say, my brother has more than 200 (200!) bites on his body, in a couple of days they turned into blisters, they cover the whole body, bites are itchy, antihistamine tablets and ointments hardly help. I don't care if the plans for the last day in Istanbul have collapsed, this situation continues to haunt the other country we left for. Bedbugs crawled through our things, only from my cap I shook off two, they had already climbed into the folds. They may have laid eggs on our belongings, and now there's a danger of bringing them home and to other hotels along our route. Whatever we wrote the review, the hotel offered to refund half the money and take it to the airport, I think a lot of people go for it, and so I didn't see any reviews about bedbugs and quietly chose this hotel. We had to throw out a few things, the same caps that the bugs were clearly crawling on, because we don't want to risk bringing the egg to other hotels and home. By the way, at the end of our stay in this "hotel", the hotel informed Buking that we allegedly did not stop by to absolve ourselves of responsibility.
