Izmir Palas Hotel

Aside from the staff, I wasn't satisfied with anything else. I stayed for 3 nights and they changed rooms 3 times. Never again. In my first room, the air conditioner made a sound like a jackhammer drilling into concrete, and the electrical outlets on the shelves weren't working. I was changed rooms and moved to a room with no cold water and a malfunctioning toilet. From there to another room. The bedside power outlets weren't working there either. Why do you put non-working power outlets there? I think the rooms are being assigned without being checked. These air conditioners are so antique you'd be hard-pressed to find one anywhere else. Water and the toilet are the final touches. The only good thing is the view. But you can't even see it because of the stench of garbage and sewage, which is the municipality's responsibility. Only personnel are expending energy to repair it. Hotel management must make sacrifices to ensure customer satisfaction in such situations.

We are staying on the 6th. floor in room 602. We were overwhelmed the moment we first entered the room: It is an absolute dream – beautifully designed, perfectly laid out, and equipped with every comfort. A very special highlight for us is the balcony. We love going out onto the balcony right after waking up in the morning, enjoying the fresh air, and letting this incredible, dreamlike view sink in. In the evenings, we also keep retreating there to let the day wind down in a relaxed way. You simply cannot get enough of this panorama – we deeply appreciate this daily ritual! ​However, the greatest and most valuable highlight of our entire stay is the fantastic housekeeper SONGÜL DEMIR. Nowadays, there are very few people who perform their job with as much heart, soul, and genuine passion as she does! ​Whether it is fresh bed linen, impeccably clean-smelling towels, lovingly folded decorations on the bed, a fully tidied room, or the sparkling clean bathroom – Ms. SONGÜL DEMIR thinks of every little detail. Regardless of whether it is early in the morning or late in the afternoon – whenever you meet her in the hallway, she radiates incredible warmth. She constantly has an honest, friendly smile on her face, greets every guest from the heart, and always has a nice, encouraging word ready for everyone. No task is too much for her, no extra request is too difficult for her, and she treats all people with incomparable, exemplary hospitality. ​Her work is physically extremely difficult every single day and requires the highest level of effort over many hours – and yet Ms. SONGÜL DEMIR remains extremely helpful, attentive, and positive at all times. She is simply the good soul of the 6th floor and an invaluable asset to the entire Palace Hotel! The hotel management can consider themselves lucky to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and warm-hearted employee in their ranks. Such people deserve the greatest appreciation and recognition. ​At this point, we would also like to thank the entire rest of the hotel staff – from reception to gastronomy to service, everyone was very accommodating. But a huge, very special thank you goes to SONGÜL DEMIR for this unforgettable hospitality! We are enjoying every day to the fullest and will definitely be back!

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT go there, it's the worst hotel you could possibly go to, it will ruin your entire vacation!! They don't clean the rooms, I stayed for 3 days and I could only get clean towels with great difficulty, and the sheets still hadn't been changed!! The staff are very indifferent, they have a valet parking service that charges 1000 TL per day and then leaves the car in the municipality's free parking lot. Also, even though I gave them a tip at checkout, they kept pointing to the car and saying it was still there, making me go and get it myself. They damage cars and then blame me for it. There's much more to say, DON'T GO!!! I will file a complaint. They undermined my goal.
