Temenos

We’ve had the most wonderful stay at Temenos Luxury Hotel & Spa. The staff are so friendly, the rooms are very comfortable and clean and there’s even a fitness room and sauna! The breakfast provided is absolutely delicious with cheese, figs, fried eggs and delicious breads. We’ve also had lunch in the restaurant which was equally delicious. The infinity pool is a real bonus with beautiful views looking down to the sea. It’s only a short walk to the beach where you can find lots of places to eat and swim. Would recommend to a friend! I have to start with the breakfast, which was literally horrible!! The butter was old (and even from the other guest who didn’t eat it). The bottle “mineral” water is only filled up with “some kind” of water and they sold as “the original soda”. The top of the bottle is closed as “original” but therefore it only looks like. If you try to open it by yourself you will notice, how the bottles are “fake”. We have never eaten that horrible breakfast before!! The staff was not professional at all! Now to the rooms: The deluxe see view room was okay/nice. The pillows were smelling... only the pool had a nice view. Noting to recommend. Sorry.

I was recommended by a friend to go to this hotel, because it was close to his home in Bodrum but unfortunately I had a very disappointing stay here so that I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone (during my stay of 9 days I saw 7 people complaining, including my mother who booked a room too) Please be aware that it has nothing in common with luxury or a boutique hotel, even more with a B&B and even in this category they would need a lot of improvement: Dirty rooms: We needed to complain three times and to change three rooms because it wasn’t clean at all: hair on the floor, rubbish under the bed, shower didn’t work. We received an „upgrade“ but this room wasn’t properly clean at all. Same happened to my mother. I was working in a modern Hostel in Berlin and know that cleanliness has nothing to do with a high price tag, but with a good management and an attitude. Service: Looking at it as a professional and someone who worked at the reception for many years and know it can be tough too, even then I need to say that I had one of my worst service experience ever and it has nothing in common with a professional hotel: they tried to charge us twice, even we paid already through booking. When I asked them to stop he tried it one more time. Once we wanted to go to the city and asked to call us a taxi. The guy at the reception told us that we need to wait 40 minutes because it was quite busy. When I was asking why it take so long, he told us the taxis are busy at the moment. In the end it was one of the family members who drove us, so he probably only wanted to make some extra cash and the guests need to wait almost a hour at the reception. At the check out the lady at the reception tried to charge us some extra costs, which were not correct at all.
